I didn't start watching till judges houses everything before that I had to watch on youtube after my mum constantly telling me to look Andrea up and I finally caved in, best thing I did

Thanks, I think I've found. It was the longest clip of his audition I can see on the site

edit to add: It was the right one, that Simon comment got me angry

I've just watched the video on Daily Motion. It's the first time I've seen it with the extra bits. Pfft at Simon rolling his eyes at the very beginning of the vid when Andrea walks into the room. His problem with Andrea right from the start was that he didn't have the right look but he always thought that he could be really special. Andrea's speaking voice seems to have changed over the course of the X Factor.

I noticed that too
Simon judging him right from the start based solely on how he looked. Which I seen nothing wrong with. A bit of individuality must scare Simon.

It was the same with Paul. He didn't have the right look for Simon's liking. He shoved him under the bus when it looked like he was a threat. And how on earth he never got through last year over Sam Callahan is baffling. All I can put it down to was that he was overweight at the time and wouldn't have appealed to the young girls like Sam did.

There was speculation that Lola and Kerrianne Covell weren't initially put through to the live shows because they weren't stick thin. The reason Cheryl gave to Tinie Tempah for not putting one of them through was because they didn't have 'star quality' which translates into not having typical pop star looks.

I remember Sam Callahan every week I'd be wondering how on earth did he make it to the live show. They turned him into some typical boyband TOWIE reject look. Not my cup of tea at all.

Coming from Simon & Cheryl doesn't surprise me. Cheryl doesn't have the best voice so she relies on her looks and Simon is only looks to make some fast money buy throwing someone who looks like a stereotypical popstar out there for all the teens to fall at there feet. Real talent doesn't come with a 'look'

I think it's rather odd to find a man so obsessed with physical appearance as SCowell. Although I have nothing but good wishes for Ben, I suppose he is conventionally handsome but I was never interested in him during the competition. It was Andrea's whole persona that I found compelling. I couldn't wait to see him from week to week. Such a mobile, expressive face, such a lack of ego, such talent!

SCowell's behaviour regarding Paul was disgusting. Initially, he used the boy to humiliate Louis, castigating him for not taking Paul through to the lives the previous year. I loved Paul's voice from the beginning but he was sacrificed because he didn't have the look SCowell approves. All the boy needed was a bit of the encouragement that some of SCowell's favourites received. Ben had no personality or stage presence to start off with but now he has come into his own. Paul was given a few of my votes every week until his denouement. I do hope he can make a good living. He seems to have a following in Manchester.

Sam was a cocky, cheeky boy with very little talent who got through simply because some girls liked him. Tamara Foster and he became an item but, evidently, he got on the wrong side of Simon when he was found to be selling his own merchandise during the tour. SCowell had words and Sam has been banished. Tamara is still with SCowell. I believe she's about to release a record in America. Her early auditions were dreadful but she had the look SCowell was looking for. Never once did she receive anything like the scorn he poured on others like Paul and Andrea.

This thread moves quickly

Yes, at least they acknowledge he has one of the best voices

Interesting that Stevi had the loudest cheers of the night - I think he could do really well in musical theatre. He seems to connect with the audience. I hope he can get some TV work

Stevi is good to get the party spirit going and useful to SCowell because he has another branch of Syco called Syco Entertainment, so he might be interested in having more live shows as that's where the money is these days. Good for Stevi. We wish him well.

I didn't know that

Sam was chosen for his pretty boy looks. He did well to go as far as he did.

Now Simon is planning to launch Fleur, it will be interesting to see how much he invests in Tamera. I'd actually forgotten about her (Sam too)

I can't swear to the veracity of my information about Sam & Tamera. I'm just repeating what I have read

I wish Ben the best too. His performance got me excited, i wasn't waiting for him week to week like I was with Andrea but I do hope he gets a fair chance with his career.

Andrea has a lot going for him, good looking, amazing voice, great personality and his so sweet and humble. I love hearing stories from people who have meet him, always say what a lovely guy he is. Not to mention his style. It's refreshing to see someone who isn't afraid with fashion. I love a guy with great GPS. The only thing his lacking is a 6 pack.... who wants that anyway

Some of his performances were dreadful. I understand him being put through more based on his look, I wasn't a fan if either, his voice and look, not my thing. Everyones different I suppose. Wish they would stop pushing for these so called pretty boys instead of talent.

I remember her forgetting her words a few times and nothing was really said. Could you imagine Simon if that had been Andrea

Andrea's pretty enough for lots and lots of girls. They love him. When did SCowell qualify as an expert in male attraction. He's lost the plot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92H_9h0BQDc Earth Song from Leeds, he changes it up again! The high note right at the end (when the camera isn't on him) is AMAZING.

Once again another great vocal performance Out of his 4 tour songs I think Listen is my favourite.

Stevi is an entertainer and an all round nice guy, the fact that so many reviewers say the same thing say's a lot about the type of people that go to these events, they are mostly there to be entertained how good or bad the singing is seems to be a secondary factor!

It is why I said a good few posts back that the xfactor tour is the wrong environment for someone like Andrea, he's an artist, the tour is essentially just one big party, perfect for the entertainer. It is however good to see that although Andrea doesn't get the coverage he deserves, the one thing that often does get mention is his voice.

Very nice! I noticed the camera man in the clip suggesting the events are being recorded?

I only just noticed the camera guy today. He must be the reason why people can see close-ups of contestants on those 2 screens.

Anyway, if you want to check it out, here is a 4 minute Liverpool video I found with Listen, Chandelier and Earth song, but they are all cut to fit them in there...at least it is better than nothing, I guess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzqcNpI3A10
And you also get to listen to the full 10 seconds of IDKMOS at the end, haha

Every concert I've ever been too has had someone at the front recording. It's to do with the big screens. I remember at one concert they went round the audience before the show started and I ended up on the big screen.
