Let's hope we get plenty of the tours material on YouTube for those of us who won't be there.
Specifically plenty on Andrea of course as the others don't really interest me with the exception of maybe Lauren and Paul which I know a lot of you on here also have time for.

When are you going, Diabolo? I'm not too worried about getting the videos as we have so much material to peruse on the www.andreafaustini.club website but I would love to know about the reaction. Only the audience will experience that first hand. I hope they go mad for Andrea.

I have actually never been to a concert, they have just never really appealed to me even though I'm a music listener.
Although I have what I guess I would call a very wide taste in music covering pretty much all genres, the music I tend to listen to mostly and buy, at least in more recent years is stuff from the likes of ERA, Lesiem, Two Steps From Hell, Nightwish, Il Volo, Amethystium, Delerium, Ennio Morricone and so forth. Most people will have never heard of if not all, most of them, it's a bit difficult to describe what genre they are as they are not all the same, some are very much epic sound tracks while others a sort of cross between pop and epic sounding soundtracks.
They appeal to me because they move me, transport me, I can close my eyes to a lot of that type of music and be transported to an imaginary world.

Although I listen to lots of pop too, I would describe it as background music. It doesn't register with me, it's kind of in one ear out the other (which is why concerts have never really appealed to me, they are mostly a pop thing and a party and I'm neither).
Every now and then though rarely, there's a track or artist from the pop world that does register and makes me listen, Andrea did that, I think it was first the big voice that got my attention but more importantly for me it was the emotion, he has a good strong voice but it's the way he delivers it that makes me listen. For me he has some of those qualities I like in my music, he doesn't transport me like some of the stuff I listen too because he's not backed by what I would call epic music, but he does make me believe the song/story because of his emotion.

My music taste is very wide as well.. Anything from The Kinks to Kate Bush to Sam Smith! I don't go for music genres, I just like what catches my attention and moves me. Andrea did that from the moment he opened his mouth! I'm so intrigued to see what kind of route Andrea goes down genre-wise. He could do anything and i'd love it, because of the raw soul and emotion he brings to anything.

So excited that tomorrow is opening night! Hopefully we'll get plenty of reviews and feedback from the lucky audience/critics present. I'll be interested to see the full setlist/running order as well. When I went before there was no particular order but then the winner performed at the end (so it was like they were the headline act). Some acts were only in the first half of the show then as well. Hopefully Andrea will have a place in both halves so he sticks in peoples minds after the show. I'm sure he will anyway because his voice is too captivating not to.

Yes exactly that, with the music I listen too it's mostly the epic soundtrack that moves me, with Andrea it's his voice, he really does give the impression he could sing anything! He has a certain something and a certain way with his voice that makes me listen. It's not going to be every ones cup of tea I understand that but it works for me.

There is definitely 'something' in his voice that grabs you and makes you listen, it isn't the songs as I don't usually listen to the type of music Andrea has been singing but I literally stopped in my tracks the first time I heard him. I've never quite found the words to explain how and why but it works for me as well

I so agree with this. His voice has a quality that makes you feel like someone is revealing their being to you - taking you on a journey, transforming emotion directly into music. He has a rawness sometimes which is breathtaking. I like music that feels like it has meaning, like it touches your soul.

I am also not interested at all in 'pop' music - I am mainly a classical girl (I love piano and violin), but also love 'epic' stuff like Muse, Pink Floyd, Beatles (Abbey Road/White Album era). I remember when I was a child and Freddie Mercury died, I cried for days because I loved his voice and his charisma so much - the way Andrea uses his voice reminds me of Freddie's actually. I also listen to medieval chanting (seriously ), which has a real haunting quality to it - very church-like and serene, even though I am totally non-religious. There are aspects to all of those that Andrea captures in his voice.

For these reasons, I hope beyond hope that Andrea doesn't release some heavily processed, 'American' music - what I call Diet Coke theme tune music. I would be so sad if he did that. It would be an absolute waste of his voice...

I think had Andrea won, this might have been what Simon would have pushed on him. That or a rushed covers album. But thankfully, thats not on the cards.

Andreas voice has too much depth for airy pop music. He has this natural soul that transforms anything he sings into something meaningful.

As he's mentioned a desire to write some songs himself, I wonder what route he would naturally go down. I feel like it would be more Stevie Wonder-esk (for up tempo songs anyway).

The best case scenario is that he gets signed by a label willing to invest enough time in him to reach his full potential. It would be amazing if he got to write with other artists such as Ed and Sam.. something really special could be created.

That would be a bit difficult with her very bad eye sight, she can hardly even read these days. And the glasses are also useless after the last stroke she had a few months ago that seemed to affect her eye sight. It is not too late for my mother (she is 53) to learn new things though, all she has to do is ask the next time I will go for a visit


With his vocal range he can without a doubt in my mind sing anything.


I have absolutely no idea, we will find out tomorrow. Although I have been checking twitter a few times per day the last month I might have missed this, but does anyone here already know what songs Andrea will be singing?

We have heard that he's singing Earth Song, Chandelier, I Didn't Know My Own Strength and either Listen or Wrecking Ball

I'm sort of glad andrea hasn't been signed yet. Simon wouldnt to be right for him and would give him songs that would cause him to flop and make it harder for others to sign, he needs a label that will give him the right material

Same applies for lauren although I think she'd suit Simons type of marketing better

Definitely Robert - Simon would be a disaster for Andrea! We were all so glad Andrea didn't win, which sounds crazy, just so Simon couldn't get his hands on him. Same definitely applies for Lauren

Ooh yay! Well looks like that Italian journalist was right then! Very happy with those 4 songs.

It's hard to know how Simon thinks, to be honest. I don't really believe that he has a passion for any particular music or performer. I think it's about the money and nothing more. These young people will achieve their dreams only if there is a real collaboration and shared vision.

I sometimes have the dreadful thought that the kids are still tied to him and he may have been playing a game just to get total control. I wonder whether under 21 yr olds can be signed up like this. It could be argued that they are not mature enough to know exactly what they are doing in signing a contract of this type.

Andrea seems to have a happy nature and it would be very hard to imagine him writing a heartbreak song even though he'd tear your heart out singing it.
