Can the BT YouView box receive live BBC channels on iPlayer.

The One Show has been pushed back to after midnight because of the endless referendum coverage in Scotland so last week I was watching live on iPlayer but I had to use my laptop because it did not seem to be available on YouView. Similarly the iPlayer on my Panasonic PVR does not have live BBC channels.

Though tonight it is not available even on the laptop for legal reasons. So much for the wonders of online viewing that some people never stop going on about.

Am I missing something? Why not watch it live on the broadcast channel on the Youview box?

As the OP states the One Show has been pushed back to midnight, presumably this is the BBC1 Scotland feed.

OP as far as i am aware no, iPlayer on YV does not have the live feeds as most people would tune in using the DTT feed to the box.

So the OP is in Scotland and was wanting to watch it live when broadcast in England? That was not really made clear before. TOS is not my cup ot tea but even for those who it is, is it really that time critical to need to watch it as soon as?

And to answer the original question, now I have had a chance to look at my YV box the answer is no.

This thought has just occurred to me. BBC broadcast all TV regions on the Sky and Freesat platforms. So why don't the do the same with YouView. After all it is an IPTV platform so space (excluding the amount of EPG slots) isn't an issue so why don't they broadcast them here?
