Best/Worst Meals Ever

Have been abroad but strangely best and worst meals are UK types..

Mine are - worst eating out:
Fish and chips at a north east seaside resort - soggy thick batter cooked in old old fat or oil, slimey undercooked old fish, and white, undercooked greasy chips - yummy!

Best eating out:
A different north east resort
A simple prawn sandwich with lager in a pub. Prawns tasted fresh, butter and bread as though just cooked - most delicious sandwich ever.

Bedfordshire pub - T Bone steak that melted in the mouth with salad and potatoes - heaven. Followed by cherries and cream on a sponge base also heaven.

Worst thing I ever cooked -
A vile stuffed whole cabbage donein the oven to a swanky French recipe - vile, like something from a swamp.

Best thing I ever cooked:
Beef cooked all day in a slow cooker with stout, onions and mushrooms and had for evening meal with mash and green beans - died and went to heaven.

What are your bests and worsts.

Best : Spiny lobster tail with gobs of garlic butter in the Rock 'N Roll cafe on Cable Beach

Worst : A neighbour asked me for lunch, which consisted of overboiled tinned veg and beef that was overcooked to the point of leather.

Best: friends treated us to a meal near Lake Constance in a fancy restaurant. A place with no menu or any idea of the prices. The meal had about 7/8 courses. Nothing was too much trouble. The wine was the best I've ever tasted. I dread to think what the evening cost them!

Worst: at a friends house. Tuna and sweet corn pasta. Two of my most hated foodstuffs. I choked it down but for a while I thought I was going to throw it up on the table. As a result of feeling so bad I got quieter and quieter. It was a horrible evening.
