I had a friend who ate dog food one lunch time as he said there was nothing else in. I think it was chum but did not quiz him on too much detail about it as could see he was embarrassed about the situation.

I once ate the cat's dry food out of the bowl. I was pretending to be a cat, so eating it's food made sense. I tried 3 biscuits before deciding they were horrible and got rid of the taste by (trying) to lap up the milk out of the milk bowl.

I was about 4 at the time though..

He must have had lovely shiny hair, but horrible breath! Hope you kept him on a leash!

I tried a chunk of dog food when I was little, thankfully I also didn't like it

Yes. Actually I would have thought most people did. In high school I knew a girl who regularly snacked on those little dog bone biscuits.

That sounds revolting, who on earth would eat dog food?

If you still know him then don't visit at lunch time as he'll know you expect to be fed by friends you visit at that time and may say 'Here you are, Pal' or 'Here you are, Chum' and give you a portion of it.

I have never eaten dog food but when I was about 4 I tried out some colourful dog biscuits, we used them at school for weighing on those old-fashioned weighing scales that have the weights at one side...well one day I just couldn't resist trying them....I couldn't have been more disappointed, they didn't taste as good as they looked

I watched one of those obscure telly shows a few years back about revenge on your ex.
This woman said she made her ex a curry before dumping him for cheating and one of the ingredients was dog food.
He said it was the best curry he had ever had. Don't know if it was true or not.
