Great news that Robert Sugden is returning to the Dales...

However, when Robert originally left in 2005 he caused the death of Jimmy Kings brother Max King in a car crash and the King Family were a bit cheesed off about it to say the least. Robert never faced any consequences for his actions and simply disappeared leaving Andy Sugden to face the King Family.

I know Jack Sugden and Tom King made their peace over the matter but... it would be nice to see some continuity from Emmerdale's producers and have Jimmy question Robert over the accident or at least have a scene acknowledging what happened.

It will be silly to have Robert return and Jimmy simply say nothing.

As far as I remember the Kings never knew of Robert's involvement in Max's death. Jack was disgusted with Robert and told him to leave the village after he was told what had happened, this left only Jack and Andy knowing how Max died and neither revealed the truth to Tom allowing him to think that Max died in a crash that was an accident.

I also thought that only Robert and Jack knew the truth of the car accident; it would be tedious to bring this back as a storyline. I would rather see Robert in a storyline with his sister Victoria. Did Jack and Diane marry after Robert left?

I am sure that it will all be forgotton in true soap style that no matter how bad a thing you do to a person its all forgotton in weeks. I wonder if Katie will end up strumping him again and we get yet another ground hog day break up with her and Farmboy.

I didn't think the Kings ever knew - Jack did but sent Robert away and then it appeared that Max had just driven off the road and nobody else was involved ...

I'm sure Jimmy didn't know - the only other person who might have was Andy possibly.
