Possobly the most ridiculous episode of EE there's been in years.

Oh I thought one of the twins was in there because when Stacey went to Whitney's she said is that Bert where's Ernie or something.

Ah yes. I didn't think of that.
great nods to that and Tamwar in the fire tonight.

The community spirit was fantastic and just how it should be. Everyone running around trying to do what they can.

The Camera and sound effects were spot on as well. Alfie hearing everything but trying to drown it out was so realistic.

Kat does look pretty bad too. Nicely done i'd say.

Ernie was upstairs in the Tardis, Whitney said Kat had come round for him but Whitney had just put him down.

Minor burns, lol ok:/

I thought the muffled sound was because Alfie initially lost some hearing due to the loud explosion, not him trying to drown things out.

I don't get why people are saying it was to quick. In real life that's how long it takes sometimes quicker, and all the cheap carpets materials in that house it's a wonder it took as long as it did, now kats burns, did people expect her to walk out looking like the elephant man? There going to have to do her make up everyday!

I hear Giordano Bruno had some minor burns when he was burned at the stake on the 17th of February 1600.

I could be wrong though.

I thought it was a big improvement on previous fires. A big explosion (I loved the reaction shots, especially at the poker night), references to the past (Tamwar's reaction was exactly right, very in character - as was Massood's) and Tosh staying calm and knowing what to do. Johnny really ought to have been in hospital, and it was shame Ian wasn't around to react to Peter coming out of the fire, but that's fairly minor.

Alfie running in and getting back out with very little damage (while Kat was - um - roasted?) was silly though. I know it suits the script that he's the hero, but it was rather ridiculous. Ricky going into a fire about twenty years ago on EE was more realistic.

I thought the fire was well done.

It was nowhere near as ridiculous as the B&B fire when Masood decided to go and sit in the smoke filled front room instead of walking out the door

Didn't see Ricky running into the fire back then but I thought Alfie's injuries weren't too badly done. He had more than Peter and Johnny which was consistent with how long he was in there, and I assumed that most of the damage done to Kat came from her being in there while the explosion happened.

That's what I thought as well, though when Bianca was around that's what everyone in the Square could hear 24/7, now she has gone everyone's ears are fine, except when someone is shouting their secret out, their ears lose hearing again.

It doesn't surprise me that they didn't have a smoke alarm, they can't be bothered to pay the rent

As usual in Soapland, someone can be in a burning house for several minutes and come out unaided. In real life, smoke inhalation in a fire of that magnitude would incapacitate someone within 2 or 3 breaths.
