So DTC said that on New Year's Day, the list of suspects will shrink considerably.

What does that mean? How will this happen? Will most of Walford stand up in the Vic and say 'I didnt' do it' and we take it as gospel? Haha.

How do you narrow it down in one swoop with this story? Am I missing it?

I'm not sure either. Unless we see flashbacks, or CCTV footage, nothing can surely be certain?

CCTV yes but surely that would just reveal who it was? There wouldn't have been CCTV at the party or in the Vic, or anywhere on the Square, so if we saw footage from the flats, perhaps it'd reveal too much?

I don't know.

And saying that about a soap opera which long ago became predictable is quite exciting.

By gender, I thought would be the most obvious way.

Maybe he means that actual concrete motives become clear so that the people actually in the frame with motive and chance to be her killer are revealed and therefore everybody else is automatically invalidated.

Cctv can show a suspect in a different place to the crime scene

You might be right!

If it's a woman especially it'd be cut down hugely, because there are maybe only a few who would have strong enough motives.

By gender, or the killer could strike again with the majority of the cast being given strong alibis?
