I wish Leona worded her interviews better, because saying stuff like "I'm finally making the record I want" to me kinda discredits her previous work, and Leona has stated from day one that she's had a lot of control in her career so it kinda makes out like she didn't have as much a say as she suggested.

Anyway, excited for the new album. I think and hope she takes a step away from the whole love/heartbreak theme (obviously still a few songs in there) and talks more about her struggle in the industry, how her life has changed, depression etc. I feel like maybe she opened up finally about Syco because she's preparing us for the material on the record so that when it's released we know what she's singing about.

I'm so worried we might get album with the same vibe as her pre-xfactor stuff, Twilight, Best Kept Secret etc... never enjoyed those barely get through the songs without skipping... not into that genre at all!

Based on the Holiday chart, Leona shouldn't be too far from entering the top 1500 on iTunes with "One More Sleep". Mariah is #1 there currently and at #1300ish. The Christmas rush is going to start picking up soon so be sure to request "One More Sleep" everywhere.

well pretty much everything she did before XF was different genres, Twilight was quite singer/songwriter-ish and BKS was a bit of an 'outdated' attempt at R&B... and a lot of that stuff was written between the ages of like 14-19, Leona was a very different person back then. Not to mention the fact the production company she did BKS with totally went and removed her credits after the album was shelved, not that I'd say she was that bothered... (totally beside the point, but haha... I shall continue)

I wouldn't read into her discrediting her previous work either by her saying it's the album 'she always wanted to make'. There'll always have to be a compromise with labels, and with what direction they want you to go, I still think Glassheart was re-done because it wasn't 'pop' enough for Syco, not because Leona 'wanted to keep recording'. (I'd like to point out about when Mr Smith tweeted about learning to 'leave things alone' and someone asked if it was about the album, and he said yes, which makes me think he regrets reworking the tracks that were already done)

You hear her influences all the time and who she wants to work with, and it never really sounds like what she does. Hurts, The Neighbourhood, etc etc. I think Leona's all about atmospheric and cinematic music, with soaring vocals, so it wouldn't surprise me if we saw quite an electronic album, but not EDM, stuff with a lot of synths and big drums etc. It sounds to me as though Island have heard what type of music she wants to make and gone "yes, we can do that", so she's getting a bit more control over the style of music she's making.

I can't wait for Christmas time, simply for One More Sleep. I am desperate to see if it will become a recurring hit, I hope radio just jump back on board and it should be added to all the huge stores/shopping malls playlists this year now its been a success, as obviously it was released after most stores had their playlists set. That should help massively with its audience reach.

Hello! Sorry, haven't been very active. Been having some wifi problems the last few weeks, should be all sorted now!

Echo doesn't get enough love, it's easily, for me, her best album!

I hope she records a song similar to 'Dog Days Are Over' by Florence and The Machine. Big vocals, uptempo, big production! Great! So excited that she's working with Diane Warren - one of my favourite song writers! Absolutely love her!
