I really like how "sessions" looks and sounds but I don't want it to be the title, could mislead some fans ( sounds more like a collection of demos and acoustic covers than a full studio album ). I dont think they would reveal the title like that anyway

"#sessions" seems to be more just a hashtag caption for that photo, they might be planning to release more images of a similar nature with the same tag maybe, or it might just be a one time thing. I hope it isn't the name of the album, it's a bit generic and Leona's always had a great metaphoric/figurative title.

In the case an album (from anyone) was called "sessions" I would expect it to be a very collaborative based album with a lot of featured artists and live vocals (maybe even all instruments and vocals recorded in one session for each track).

Loving her cover photo though! It looks stunning! The font on it, which would seemingly be more indicative of her branding for her new album, wouldn't really fit with the font of the "#sessions" though, so those are my points. :P

That's what i was thinking. The #sessions things just seems like a hashtag for the photo to make it 'personal'.

Apart of me is expecting it to still be self-titled though it's gotten so overused lately (as well as numbered album titles - hopefully Adele scraps that idea now). With us getting new pics, we're definitely getting something within the next month though, which is really exciting.

Even more exciting is that it's a fresh start. New label, management, etc. Not just that, but a fantastic label and management. She really lucked out.

The biggest fear before was always that Syco would expect something to smash right away and if it didn't, they would end the era and throw her back in the studio and meanwhile nothing was getting done and the situation was only getting worse. Hopefully Island realize she needs to be pushed like she's a new artist again. They need to re-establish her and allow time for the single(s) to take off. I'm not expecting the album for awhile tbh. She needs to get a hit first and if the material is as strong as suggested, it might not take as long as it seems if they push it correctly.

Plus with her breaking away from Simon, it should help her shed the X Factor, "manufactured pop star" image and win over critics and haters.

Yeah, I agree with that. I think the idea they might be putting forward is that it'll be a personal album, so they're trying to create personalised stationery-styled images. If it is called sessions, I think we'll get more of an idea of what to expect from the album in its sound. I'm not too fussed either way, whether it is self-titles, called sessions or something else, as long as the songs are amazing.

The photoshoot looks outstanding so far (the banner on Facebook), probably the best she's had since Echo, probably better than that. I'm excited for this era, but maintaining a very calm demeanour about it, because I don't want to overhype myself. Hahaha.

As long as they pick the right songs for singles they should do great. All her other albums suffered from bad choices for singles, lack of marketing for them and/or the timing that they released (outside of a few tracks).

It was an excellent decision for her to get this fresh start with a new label, have good expectations!

A few months ago I posted saying I want the album to have the word "Sessions" in the title.

Leona and I are on the same brain wave. Or maybe she reads this and got the idea from me Yeah I'll go with that

I don't think Leona would give the album title away so easily, she posted a photo in the studio and hashtagged #sessions because that's what she's been having, studio sessions. At least, that's what I think. Plus I think it's a bit unoriginal and misleading "Leona Lewis Sessions"...it sounds like a live album or her old hits reworked to sound different.

However I do love the photos! Leona looks really peaceful and calm in them, perhaps reflective of how she's feeling on this record. And she's letting her natural beauty shine for once rather than over styling herself.

I'm not big on Sessions being the album title but it's possible - Joss Stone released an album called Soul Sessions.

Anyway I'm truly excited. Can't wait to hear the first single.

I don't understand why people don't want Leona to do covers anymore... I mean sure, they don't have to be on an album, but what about an EP or just some acoustic video's.

I would love HQ versions of Titanium, Locked Out Of Heaven, Say Something etc.

I am now somehow expecting an acoustic ablum with raw guitars and pop country songs loool. maybe it is because of "sessioms" and the new pic that made me think so.

I still dont see how 'sessions' can be linked to acoustic songs.. It's just studio sessions, time in the studio.

Also if the album was called sessions then they would have put it on the banner instead of thz picture where she is in a studio session.. Anyway maybe it's behind the scenes plus some performances of couple of songs to start some hype. I once suggested this months ago so they could have taken it on board.

It could be like therapy sessions, making albums can be a way to get it all out of the system.

I would love if it was called Sessions, just not with the hashtag. Hopefully they try trend #LeonaLewisSessions closer to release date or something. Social media is huge and they should take advantage of it

So would I, I loved Locked Out Of Heaven on the Glassheart tour and have been longing for a proper HQ version, It would be Heaven to me.

Just that if it does not have some meaning beyond that, it's a very weak title with not much thought put into it. I'm not saying it would have to be laid back and acoustic personally, but take for instance an album like Josh Groban's "Illuminations," which was recorded live in the studio (all instruments and vocals recorded in one take), that sort of thing could give a reason for it to be called "sessions," as each track would be the experience of one session in the studio.

The assumption of the sound of the album is running off the premise that the album is rumoured to be called "sessions." Otherwise, if it only appears on that profile image, I don't think anyone would even be talking about the impact the word would have on our expectations of the album.

I definitely like the idea of them showing off some behind the scenes footage of the studio sessions and a few of the tracks! Sounds very plausible and would definitely tide me over until more news comes. Anything is good news at the moment! Haha.

I think if it is called Sessions it is in a therapy kind of way. The way that Sarah, Dennis and Diane have been describing the music would lead me to think it definitely isn't acoustic. Unless they are releasing an acoustic EP called Sessions before the album

But Leona is the queen of covers and needs to move away from that. She had 4 covers from Spirit, 1 from Echo, 3 from the Hurt EP...there's enough Leona studio covers to last a lifetime. Fair enough performing live, all artists cover songs live but rarely do artists have so many studio covers. I think too many can cheapen an artist and make them seem less credible and original.
Plus Leona has beautiful original songs. I love Hurt but Stay and How Everything You Are are far more beautiful and haunting than Leona's covers of Colorblind and Iris.

From my Point of view Leona should avoid famous cover Songs.

I don't mind, if her album includes covers or re-interpretations, as Long as the songs haven't been released before by a Major Artist.

Is it just me or did someone else at first sight thought Sessions was her album title?
