A voucher code for Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae -- a playable demo of FFXV -- will be included in each copy of Final Fantasy Type-0, which comes out March 2015. According to a report, Episode Duscae will allow players to "see some of the opening scenes in action," although "some elements of the progression will be altered in order to make it more suitable for a demo experience."

Square Enix has yet to announce release timing for FFXV.

I'm so excited for this. I think I would buy Type 0 just to get my hands on the demo.

Really excited for XV too but have no interest in buying Type 0 just to play the demo. I really hope the demo is available to everyone before release.

Type-0 is meant to be really good tho.

£40 might be a bit much to pay for a demo, but it does come with a free game, which you can trade.

This has taken FF Type-0 from I'll keep an eye on it to a day one purchase

Although a note of caution, while it comes with a code for a demo, the date the demo actually goes live has not been revealed, similar to how Wolfenstein came with a code for the DOOM Beta

True, but I don't think there'll be a massive time difference between when Type-0 comes out and the demo. I think it might get a full release next year. It's only been in development for a decade.

I watched the trailer for 15 and while it'll be a day one purchase purely because its a Final Fantasy game, it looks far too much like a hack and slash. I really wish they'd go back to a turn based battle system.

Nothing in the trailers so far indicates it to be true but I have a feeling the system be deeper that just hack and slashing, I think we'll be switching between characters during fights and using their abilities to again an advantage

In the trailer an enemy is running at the Noctis while is hurt and another character hits the enemy with a massive sword and trips it over, for me it would make sense in the full game if you use that guy to trip it up so it can't attack you then switch to Noctis for quick blows, before switching again if you need to

Maybe I'm just wishing for to much though

Some of the enemies look kinda dumb in the trailer, more so the human ones. They're standing up looking and you while one of the dudes ran around and killed them.

MOVE YOUR ASS MAN. FIGHT BACK.

The dinosaur enemies look stunning.

Fingers crossed for an Xmas 2015 release. This game HAS to come out next year.

They'll announce it for next year then it can be the first game the 2015 games delayed to 2016, following trend set this year with everything delayed

Ah those delays were just lies to sell consoles. 2015 will be different.

Final Fantasy XV, Arkham Knight, Unchated 4, the Order, ROT Tomb Raider.

2015 is going to be AWESOME !!

Those open-world graphics are incredible. It makes the eight year wait more bearable.

I'm pretty sure switching team members is confirmed

New gameplay!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKLLaAoWrNE

The video is a bit low quality, since it was from a stream, there will probably be more HQ versions being uploaded later on. They also apologised for not giving us updates since E3 2013, and promised to show more gameplay at Jump Festa in December.

The music in the new trailer is amazing!

Can't wait for the game, as long as it feels recognisable as an FF game.

Having played FFVIII, FFX and FFXIII again fairly recently, I'm just really hoping that lessons have been learned and that XV won't be the largely soulless experience that the XIII saga turned out to be.

There's a lot that looks great in the XV trailers, but XIII looked incredible pre-release too, so cautiously optimistic at this point.

Very true. As amazing as it looks, it could be a disaster.

But,

From what we have seen, it looks awesome. From the trailers 2 years ago, to the Tokyo one with the guys in the car, and we've seen some combat. The story could be pish, we could be running around corridors the whole game and the characters could be wooden. But I'm jumping aboard the hype train and can't await for this. The story could be amazing, a gorgeous open world and fantastic, interesting characters. We know the gfx are some of the best we've seen in a game and the combat looks fun.

Let's hope it doesn't disappoint.

From IGN

The upcoming Final Fantasy XV demo apparently contains between three and four hours worth of content.

That's according to a NicoNico livestream with Square Enix (via Siliconera), in which it was also revealed we'll be able to drive around dungeons.

Final Fantasy XV Demo Included When Type-0 Releases in 2015

The demo will apparently take place in the Duscae region of Final Fantasy XV, and will feature lots of systems that are still being developed for the game. While we shouldn't expect any boss fights, Square promises something even more impressive will be included that promises to have a big impact on franchise fans.

In terms of the driving, you can take the wheel yourself or let Ignis handle it with an auto-drive feature. Random talk events are set to take place between Noctis and the others as well. Of course, all of this can be skipped if you opt to walk rather than drive, and doing so will increase the amount of time it'll take you to complete the demo. Finally, there's suggestions you'll be able to ride Chocobos, but this isn't confirmed.
Driving around dungeons, that sounds strange.

Lots more info here
http://gematsu.com/2014/09/final-fan...ld-combat-demo

The game will be open world, the weather can affect the gameplay, monsters come out from dungeons and are aggresive at night, you can camp out at night, which is recommended as going non-stop will leave other characters tired out. Lots more stuff in the article too

Plenty of good stuff there. Also a few things that concern me - You only play as Noctis? All-male party? A road-trip?

Obviously it's all going to be speculation until the demo, and then more informed speculation ahead of the full release, but I'm not sure how I feel about this yet.

I loved the remaster of FFX, and playing XIII not long after that brought home just how much the franchise has changed in the past decade. I really wish they'd get Kitase back on board as Director, it's never been the same since he took a backseat on the production side.

Tabata made Type-0, which was one of the best FF games in years, according to Japanese fans, I don't think he'll let us down with XV, I love the sound of a road trip FF.
