I'm finding alot of my time in this is pretty much afk while Ignis drives the car to whatever location I'm going to, lucky I've put points into gaining AP on long drives.

Still on chapter 3 and up to level 33. Have to go find Glads sister in Lestallum, but I got side tracked doing side quests. Hopefully make some progress through the chapters this weekend.

You can rattle through the main story fairly quickly if you want to. If there wasn't so much side stuff to do

Some dude on another forum said he went through the game in 20 hours and the extra stuff would only take 20 hours if he did it, then another spent 88 hours on it. Think the first one rushed through tbh.

I'm passed 20 hours and I'm still only on chapter 3. Think there's 13 chapters in total?

I thought I seen something about Chapter 15 somewhere but I could be wrong.

I can see how someone could easily speed run this game. I spend all my time doing the side stuff. There are sooooo many hunts.

Just checked the trophy list and that goes up to chapter 14, I guess there could be a further chapter that's not trophy related.

Yeh it probably is possible to speed run the game in around 20 hours, but why would you waste your first play-through doing that. Blitzing through an open world game defeats the whole point of the genre.

I've spent the last 3 hours doing side quests in Lestallum. I had around 8 all completed, and ran around everyone there to cash in and get my exp. Then they all offered me new side quests so I'm out farming again. Don't want to risk doing the main quest as I've got 25k exp stacked up and I don't want it to force me to rest and lose out on the multipliers. Going to try and get closer to 50k exp then sleep at the beach for 2x exp.

Interesting link for trophy hunters etc:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/f...al-fantasy-xv/

and the list:

http://psnprofiles.com/trophies/5612-FINAL-FANTASY-XV

The first link will have a trophy guide uploaded soon.

I'm already at 17% trophies and just started chapter 2.

Also theres 14 chapters the one below is to end the game on normal mode. Without giving to much info out. Anyway you can read what each ??? trophy is by pressing square on it to see what it is.

Lol that's what I'm doing. I have over 50k exp and I intend to get some more and stay at that nice hotel by the sea. Forget the name of the place.

Some of the side quests in this are just awful. From collecting frogs to shutting down valves, they're just gank.

I did that, collected loads of xp, accidently finished Chapter 2 and it used it all! Grrr.

That's why I've been reluctant to do the main story missions. Ended up cashing out on ~70k exp and am up to level 45 now. Just went ahead and got the third king sword and am now doing the suspicious stranger quest. I don't think there's many side quests left in chapter 3 now so hopefully I can continue onwards into chapter 4.

Edit: Oh that was the last bit of chapter 3 anyway xD

This is taking ages to install, been close to 35 minutes and it's only at 82%.

It should take a while. It's about 44GB on the disc, then there are 2 patches taking it up to 52.9GB. The Blu-ray drive is only 6x which is means its max transfer rate is 216Mbps, but real world tests will always be slower.

If the max transfer rate could be maintained for the entire install then the fastest time that the game could install in is just over 29 minutes.

Ahh, don't know about transfer rates so it seemed long to me. Chucked it on instant on and let the patch download while I slept, just got to wait until I can have time to play.

Just finished chapter 7, Noct is up to 48 and the others are 47. Looking at the trophy times it seems that each chapter is only taking around an hour when I don't get sidetracked doing other things.

Going to step back and get some more hunts and side quests done now before I advance again. There doesn't seem to be many side quest markers on my map at the moment though.

Has anyone had any joy leveling up Ignis' cooking? Glad is at level 7 survival, and Prompto at level 6 photography but Ignis is only at level 2 cooking. Is that because I've done all my resting at the 1.5x or 2x exp boost spots, and done virtually no camping?

Looking online that would be the case, he needs to be cooking to level and making a brand new dish gets more xp.

You have to do camping for Ignis to level up.

Almost 20 hours in and just starting chapter 5!

Only just realised there is an MP3 player for sale in the shop accessible whilst in the car! Now I can listen to past FF game music whilst on foot! (Hold L2 to change tracks)

Absolutely none required at all. Hotel multipliers and the coin exp effects you can add to magic make leveling rather easy.

It was a short one sadly. There is still a lot of side content to do though. That's where the real meat of the game is and as there is barely anything in the story. Maybe the dlc will fix that.

The shop in the car.

You can run up to the car and press X and there'll be a shop option or while driving, press the touchpad and the option will be there too.

Oh, I missed the bit about it being the one in the car, thanks. Will have to check it out later, love listening to the FFVIII album but annoyed at it stopping all the time.
