Simon Ashdown
I started watching back in 2007, and I have just realised that since then almost every brilliant episode eastenders have done and almost every Christmas he was written, but now he's gone, do you think this Christmas episode will suffer because of this?

I really doubt it. There is too much pumping into the Autumn and Winter for Christmas to not be good.

Even in the worst era, Ashdown was the saviour. He may have been obsessed with the Branning's but he wrote for them better than any other writer. His episodes were above the rest.
