Michelle won't return Susan Tully doesn't act any more plus Michelle didn't return for her Mum's Wedding to Joe, her Mum, Dad and Brother's funeral or any other major events in her families lives so why should Sharon's wedding to Phil be so important.

However with DTC anything appears to be possible.

It was announced that more shock returns would be occurring in the future.

Maybe Susan Tully was tempted into a cameo appearance in return for some Directing work?

If DTC has managed to get her back then hats off to him for managing a return that many other Producers have failed to achieve over the last 19 years.

I reckon he could have tempted the likes of Anita Dobson, Gillian Taylforth, Leslie Grantham and others back for a while if their characters were not so callously killed off in the past in the name on sensationalism and a temporary ratings boost.

Also worth noting is an interview found with Tom Watt (Lofty) he stated he would not say no to a future return if asked, however thinks is unlikely he will be approached.

It would be amazing but highly unlikely unfortunately.

None of the "shock" returns have been big characters unless you count Jane (I personally don't). They've all been actors who would be easy enough to rope back in for a few days filming since they're not high profile as either actors or EastEnders characters (again, Jane excluded). Susan Tully, Ross Kemp or Barbara Windsor would be announced as returnees. I could see Spencer, Vicki and maybe Martin showing up at some point unannounced though.

If we do see Martin, I think it will be a cameo role, at least at first. I can just see Carol going round to visit Sonia and Martin opens the door saying "alright, Carol? Just popping to the pub, Sonia's in the kitchen. Catch ya later!"

Before turning back and saying....

"Sonia, cracking pair of tits babe!"

I think a return from Michelle would be announced is due course but I did love your idea.

I think if Michelle were to return it would be during the 30th anniversary and I think they are giving her these mentions so that if or when she does return it would make sense.

I like that DTC put Vicki And Spencer back together. I smell a wedding arising.

Maybe DTC has managed to convince Sue Tully to return in order to kill Michelle off, as she would never return for any length of time, and obviously this show has learned to its cost about off screen deaths. Killing Michelle would give Sharon a storyline, and maybe allow the truth about Mark Jr to come out.

I'd like it to remain a surprise til we see it onscreen
