I'm not okay with the paparazzi either.
As some others have said, asking for an autograph or photo should you happen to run into a celebrity by chance or at an organised event is one thing but to wait outside their place of work for hours on end, with the implicit expectation that they will take the time to stop for them - that iis their personal time - they aren't on the clock. Then there is the potential nuisance to local residents.
