About 6 seconds into the trailer for the next episode people they want flash on the screen.

One of these is Captain John Hart, who was played by James Masters in Torchwood,

Easteregg or potentially a return/Torchwoodish crossover =D?

No idea but well spotted

Fingers are now very tightly crossed that he will be in DW - Marsters is hugely talented and that character was one of the best things in Torchwood.

If he is and it's possible, he's done a really good job of keeping it quiet. Would be awesome if Jack was there too.

If they brought him in it may spike the ratings but only for the brainiac fans

He's not in it, AFAIK.

Or, you know, the role he is actually really quite famous for...

Spike, perhaps?

All the faces are from earlier stories of DW, the Sarah Jane Adventures or Torchwood.

As well as John Hart we have

A Slitheen, a Sensorite and a Terileptil from DW

The Trickster and a Veil from SJA

And Abslom Daak (Dalek Killer) from a Doctor Who comic.

That was the only one I couldn't work out

The veil could specifically be Androvax, last seen trying to find a new home in 'The Vault Of Secrets'

Thing is, Abslom Daak is from the 26th Century, so if this week's episode is set before then we could have a continuity problem!

I had actually thought Androvax had died saving the last of his people which is why I never specified it as him but I'd remembered incorrectly.

Still as this story is seemingly set quite a way in the future unless the Veil are very long lived or there is time travel (see below) involved then it probably isn't him.

As to Daak, never read any of his stories but I wouldn't be surprised if he had time travelled at some point so could have a criminal record in multiple centuries.

I feel you missed the pun of it causing a spike in the ratings...

Oh well. But at least in establishes these characters for those who only watch Doctor Who so one day he can appear.
