Two box streaming

I have a Humax 1000s and a 1010s. Is it possible to access the recordings between boxes. If so, how is this done please and are there any restrictions imposed by the networks? Both boxes are connected to the internet and are receiving good quality broadband.

Currently none of the freetime boxes has a DLNA server only a client. That means either of your boxes can access any kit on your network with a DLNA server (Windows Media Player for instance) but you cannot see the freetime recordings externally other than directly from the analogue or digital video outputs. If a DTCP-IP DLNA server (as found on a HDR FOX T2) eventually is provided then you will be able to do what you want to do.

Thanks for your prompt reply Graham. I knew you would have the answer! 😊

You are welcome. I hope the sever does arrive on the freetime boxes. I imagine Humax would sell a shed load of HB1000S boxes as second units. Great for a bedroom study or Kitchen TV.
