Morning,

So before I phone EE and rant at them about this, as it keeps happening, is anyone else having problems with content lock on EE?

Yet again today I cant access some completely standard websites, including Facebook as it says that its been locked by EE's content lock as it contains material deemed unsuitable for under 18's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Aside from the fact that I am well over 18, I have logged into my EE account and looked at the content lock and it says that content lock is switched off. I have also tried entering credit card details onto the content lock website and it still doesn't work - a message comes up saying that they cannot verify that I am over 18. So annoying!

I'm having problems too mate. I rang and apparently it's a wide spread issue that they're aware of but have no time scale for a fix...

I've had that problem several times. I've had to phone them, give them my credit card details, address etc and they unlock it. Then a few weeks later have to do it all again.

Mine been doing that for ages (MiFi SIM in a Huawei router).
I first noticed there was a problem when Windows update threw an error when checking for updates.
I noticed that if I checked for the updates on ADSL and then switched to EE, it would then download them ok.
I couldn't work it out but everything pointed to EE. Then I remembered about the content lock. Tested theory by trying an adult search and content blocked!
So, logged in and turned it off. Everything then worked.
Since then though, seemingly at random the lock goes on and off.
Sometimes I can check for win updates and sometimes not. Doesn't seem to cause any other issues though.
