He's just so mean to everyone. Surely after all these years he would have developed a bit of compassion. It's a wonder he became so popular in the first place when he acts to rudely.

He's a tough nut to crack. He still seems to have a chip on his shoulder. Having said that I wouldn't expect him to be sweetness and light, he's quite dark by nature. That's just how he is.
I'm just watching it right now and he's given Finn the brush off really rudely at the garage. Finn is quite growing on me he's nice, and he was quite bold to go up to Aaron and make the first move. On some level I've always thought Aaron was pining for Adam but watching Finn, I think Aaron could do alright with him IF they ever get together and maybe he could bring a nicer side to him out?
Finn's a bit more cultured and if the writers don't mangle the script it would be quite nice to see. He needs a positive influence in his life that takes him out of his little grim world. We'll see if it makes a difference.

I would rather he didn't come back at all. His acting can be quite woeful at times. And danny millers awkwardness as playing a gay character is quite laughable, he's no Brendan Brady!

Couldn't agree more with this and the other posters.
And good on Hot Ross, for looking out for his brother; he could do much better than Tiny Tears Aaron, anyway.
I missed his first stint, as I didn't watch ED then, but I took an instant dislike to him in his return episode and it doesn't look like I'll be changing my feelings any time soon!

Kate's Oates has said she isn't putting them together, they just don't go together. I don't like Finn at all but he needs a man and that isn't Aaron. Also to pair Finn up with Aaron would ruin Finn.

We were told when he was coming back they said he had grown up, he's just like he was before I really don't see any change in him at all.

He has always been a miserable git. That is his whole character. Quite a lot of the young male characters are the same on the show.
I actually think they have retconned his character in his approach to other gay characters. The 'old' Aaron would never have had a one night stand with someone.

I dunno I like the spikey way Danny Miller plays Aaron. It's actually representative of that quota of almost still semi-closeted guys whose gayness doesn't sit easily with them. Not everyone is comfortable in their own skin or can deal with society's reactions toward them.
I don't mind Aaron's dour darkness, why should gay men be all intellectual nerds or happy jazz hands types? At least Emmerdale has addressed that people from all walks of life and personalities can be gay.

Maybe the reason he came back because he was hardly getting any work I mean he went from a lead role on ED to do Panto/Lightfields and the other show on BBC which nobody could hear. He was alright on S&B but I would be surprised if he left to go back to ED.

Bit of a shame for me. They'd be interesting and perhaps a challenge for each other.
I dunno these days in soaps you can never trust the writers not to ruin most any relationship with cheating or drama eventually anyway so...

There is always that argument but then you have to think if something is so bad and potentially 'detrimental' to you in real life, just retrain in something else? Heck he's young enough to go back to college, or whatever, and do anything.
So Emmerdale can't be all that bad imo.

Exactly. People need to realise that Danny Miller has to act the scripts as written. If Aaron is written as being uncomfortable (especially after one night stands, which most people are), how is that Danny's fault? He doesnt get to sit in a room with the writers and decide how his chracter will be written. Is it really likely that Danny would have accepted this role and said "Yeah It's fine so long as I don't have to kiss anyone." No. He'd be shown the door if he had that atttitude.
It's quite embarrassing really how many people today still confuse fiction with reality.

Even the actors have said why put them together just because they are gay if you want that watch Hollyoaks. I'm glad they have done that. I mean just because they are gay does that mean they should hook up with each other.
He's well and truly been trumped in the bad boy stakes since Ross arrived. Ross has charm and complexity. Aaron is just rude.
