Such an honest man who speeks the truth and knows a thing or two

I think of him as a male Lou Beale, he has a knack of seeing things the way they are, has a sharp tongue and is there for his family without being too sweet.

He seemed vile at first, and still might turn out to be, but I'm loving him at the moment. It's strange how his character seems to have backtracked, as if they've decided against making him a villain. Unless they''re just trying to spin out the intrigue surrounding him.

Even though I like him....he knows how to kill any atmosphere left in the room....

I liked when Johnny told Stan he was gay and he said how he's still not convinced about Nancy. I loved that scene and Nancy's reaction.

His joke about 'Number 23' I found offensive, but that's only because I accidentally set my living room up in flames a couple years back!

It's that dry humour that makes me love him.

And he doesn't care what he says, like many older people.

I did laugh at the no 23 joke. would have been very crass coming from anyone else.

I like Stan, the way he is written and portreyed.

The number 23 joke, donation of Y fronts and the breakfast down his shirt makes him a character.

I've loved Stan from the get go and it his definitely his nasty side and dry humour that makes him an asset to EE. One of my favourite bits was when he broke Babe's bowl when she was nasty to Cora He's certainly not to be taken lightly

That bowl was hideous and don't get me started on how awful trifle is LOL

Stan is one of the best things to happen to EastEnders this year and it's principally down to Timothy West who is just a superb Actor.

I am looking forward to Stan's part in the upcoming Sylvie/Mick/Shirley storyline.

He's absolutely brilliant, and you can tell that Timothy West is having a fun time playing him.

I love his dark sense of humor. The number 23 joke tonight was hilarious in my opinion.

I like him too, but I hope to see his dark side again soon

DTC said in an interview in Inside Soap this week... that he purposely put down Stan and Babe when he introduced them as Stan is bad and Babe is sweet, but the twist was Sran isnt all that vile and Babe is sly and so much more

Like Tosh (and I think the resemblance is deliberate, with Tina going for someone like her dad) he is a very realistic character - fine most of the time, so you forget that there have been many occasions when they've been manipulative and evil. I have met many people who are a lot of fun on a superficial level but are really dark underneath, especially behind closed doors. They're essentially confidence tricksters - you're taken in by the charm, and by their refusal to ever be wrong, but they are toxic.

I think Aunt Babe - who is dodgier on the surface but seems (by Shirley's account) to have a heart of gold beneath it - will emerge as the more genuine person. She is very like Shirley - lots of mistakes and a brittle personality, but loyal and kind.

People like Stan are forever making 'I'm just saying' remarks like the kind he made when Alfie was in the Vic. It was an attempt to wind him up which worked perfectly. If you listen to his speech, he is forever putting other people down or manipulating them.

Stan is the closest thing Eastenders have had to Blanche from Corrie.
Timothy West is just brilliant and Stan is one of my favorites.

The only one "loving" Stan is Cora if you know what I mean.....
