Amazing family, Marty Murray being my fave and the bullying plot with Anthony Murray and Imelda

The one reason to watch during it's failing days and Jimmy Corkhill of course... why does it have to be gone

I liked them too.
I remember when they were introduced, the whole episode was just The Murrays, which I believe was a first for a British soap.
In fact, I don't think it's been done since either.

p.s. - Diane was my favourite. I don't think they ever really recovered after she left.

Really liked The Murray's. One of the better additions!

Anthony's bullying storyline was good.

His older brother's male stripping plot with Tinhead was interesting.

But the IVF storyline was a long-winded borefest.

The IVF set the tome for the whole families stress and I thought it fitted in well rather than it just being all about IVF. The affects on the family was very negative,

Everything happened to that one family...

Relationship Troubles,
Arguments,
Fights,
Tears,
Anthony being bullied constantly for ages then when it becomes enough he drowns one of his bullies,
15 year old Adele gets pregnant & has an abortion that goes against the Dianes religion,
God Bothering busybody Grandmother,
Long winded IVF but they eventually stop because of all their other problems,

Then ex wife turns up JUST as an armed drug gang raid the close, then Diane gets killed by a police helicopter. Anthony is up in court on a murder charge but gets found not guilty.

Marty & ex wife decide to marry again, Adele goes to Uni, Steve starts a limousine firm with Tim, Anthony settles back into life & they all move away in the last episode!

Literally, any SL Brookside could throw at The Murrays, they did...

But yes, they were a good family, full of good actors & played major roles in Brooksides final few years.

Yeah I had a little crush on him, likely because of his plight with the bullies.
