A ghost visits - rare forgotten clip

What instances of ghosts visiting in soaps can you remember? Should EE have a scene like this for their 30th? who should it be about? I think Mark Fowler visiting Ian or Sharon would be good. and maybe as Lucy's murder is solved she could appear for a minute, and smile at the person who solved the crime, while sad music plays like at the end of Cold Case.

Who can forget Bobby coming though the fridge on H&A. Or was that all in Ailsa's mind? I forget.

at the end of Jack Sugden's funeral episode in Emmerdale Diane looked back at the grave and saw him standing there, superimposed obviously as the actor had died

The best by far for me was when the ghost of Vera visited Jack as he died in the same chair as she did. Can still bring a tear to my eye.

I remember watching this when it aired, God knows how many years ago. I was absolutely terrified by it and had to always have the light on it the kitchen!

Having just watched in on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05JYrfbGYAk it's actually a bit crap!

I think it works, the Vera scene was wonderful.
EastEnders did it once with Charlie Cotton.
The Oz soaps have done it countless times!!

Bombhead in Hollyoaks had visions of the dead Gordon Cunningham.
Currently in Hollyoaks Cindy is hallucinating that dead Rhys is actually alive.

Also, Night and Day centred around a missing teenage girl (later found murdered) and the characters frequently had visions of her.

The Diner had been broken into and she had taken out of date anti-depressants to help her cope. A side effect of taking them was seeing Bobby. It wasn't a ghost, but a hallucination.

I remember my brother was absolutely terrified when it was on! To be fair though for a 20 year old clip on a soap it is pretty impressive. Crap by today's standatds but not for then!

Wow! That is a very very emotional and good scene! I was watching emmerdale around that time! How I missed or forgot about that I do not know!:O every time I watch it, it brings a tear to my eye! Diane's facial expression was well done! I hope if EastEnders decide to kill off Jim Branning, they can do something similar for him!

Yes, that was an extremely moving moment. It had not been revealed at all that Jack Sugden would be seen. This, as well as the fact that Clive Hornby had died too made it so powerful. I can still remember the shocked reaction from our house when he appeared like that.
