In genr Tosh has not gone down well with DS fans? Why this is? I just think she is a stop gap for the eventual Tina/Sonia romance but also she is played by a fairly bogged standard Actress

I think she's good, initially I thought she was pointless re Sonia/Tosh and to be used in every fire or potential fire situation EE has in the next year.

But I think she does have some depth, we're starting to see her softer side emerge and another user commented surrounding the idea that what Tina sees in Tosh is linked to Tina's relationship with her father, what she sees in Stan which I find really interesting. I think she brings a new dynamic to the female cast, like Nancy does, but she's usually always with the Carters and really needs to be integrated more into the square and the whole cast, although characters having jobs off the square in London should become a growing thing.

It was always going to be difficult to like Tosh. Even before we met her we knew that she was an abuser and she's been nothing but a control freak since she arrived. Even now Tina is too afraid to tell her that she doesn't want a child.

Exactly. They set her up to be somebody to be disliked the first time we saw Tina and she had bruises on her face. Then she doused Shirley in freezing cold water whilst laughing and whilst I don't like shirley, that is a horrible thing to see happen to anyone.

That said, I actually don't mind her - she does have layers and it is good to see the aggressor in a domestic violence plot not be snapping and snarling like a panto villain 24/7.

She's hated by fans in social media too, she is the most vile horrible character ever and I have absolutely no sympathy for her, we was promised a domestic abuse storyline and all we've seen is this bitter person, who completely brings down tinas character, and she just adds to to the overcrowded carters, she hangs around like a bad smell, and her performances with tina are very weak, terrible acting, no emotion, and I feel absolutely no remorse for her character, even the name makes me want to vomit, I can't stand her! One of the deadwood characters who is bringing down what a good job dtc is doing with the established and a few of the new characters.

The fire episode made me hate her. Terrible acting. It's like she knows the camera's on her and she has to overact. Instead of looking at the burning building, she was pulling funny faces which, if Harry Hill still did his show, they'd be mocked.

This is the problem for me. She's a plot device which actually is a waste of what could have been an interesting character.

It was very easy to dislike her before she even appeared because she had left Tina with bruises. But we didn't see Tosh so it was possible Tina gave as good as she got in that situation. In fact, I think I remember Tina saying exactly that to Shirley.

IMO, I find Tosh to be more sympathetic in the Tina/Tosh relationship. Tina is an irritatingly childish 40-year-old who lies constantly, has kissed another woman and pretty much strings Tosh along with the idea of having a baby together. Then there's the whole sorry business with selling the weed. Tosh, from what I can see, only wants a committed relationship and start a family. Instead, Tina only wants to get drunk, dress like she's attending a 6-year-olds birthday party and take no responsibility for anything.

Yet Tosh is seen as the villain just because she gets narky about Tina's immature attitude? Tina displays far more destructive behaviour within the relationship in my view.

Agree with this.. I don't 'like' her per say, but I'm interested by her and I like the actress. As long as they keep writing her as a real, complex person she has a chance at being a memorable character.

I'm mixed on Tosh but I'd take her over Shirley any day.

I just get the feeling that DTC might not be entirely certain as to what he wants to do with the character though.

I don't trust her Vas, and I'm a pretty good judge of character as you know.

I find her and Tina boring as hell but I presume they'll get interesting once the dv story kicks in.

Very soon, hopefully! Carters are way too big! they was a pleasure to watch at first until they rapidly grew! Hopefully, lee, tosh and dean can be given the boot soon! Not too bothered about babe either! I do still enjoy watching them, but not as much as I used to!

There are many reasons to dislike Tosh. She's moody, miserable, aggressive, dull and dates an idiot. With that said, she should be given a medal for taking that evil cow Shirley down a peg. If Tosh used her hose on Shirley more often I'm sure she'd be more popular.

Totally agree with this. Tina's not a great deal better but Tosh is just dreadful to watch.

I quite like Tosh. She's interesting. And she seems to really love Tina which shows her softer side. But I didn't like it when she hurt Tina that time. I hope she doesn't do it again. But unfortunately I suspect she will as it's in her nature.

Look on the eastenders Facebook page, and look at all the horrible comments about tosh, this just proves she is a VERY unliked characaters, they need to listen to the fans when it comes to stuff like this, after all the show is made for US

shes just a carter hanger on with a haircut that looks like tinas attacked her with a knife and fork. I see they have also dropped the domestic abuse she was dishing out to tina as well as soon as she moved on the square.

The people posting on Facebook loved Tyler Moon and Joey Branning. Why should they be listened to?
