Still the most popular soap though isn't? I do agree however that they should get rid of Blackburn.

I like all three soaps. I have seen corrie all my life and can't believe how bad its gone. it is going to get worse if they keep Blackburn. Its not going toe get better until he leaves. The ratings are shocking bad. It took Eastenders Three years to for the ratings to fall and it took corrie about six months. It is time to protest to get ride of Blackburn before it can get worse.

More than 1.5 million... Last Friday compared with the same Friday in 2013, was a drop of 3.1 million viewers and a 14% tv share:/

I can't say i'm surprised - i'm sticking with it but in my opinion this past year has been the worst I have seen and I started watching in 1980.

That's not comparing like with like. Last Friday's figures would, I imagine, only be those who watched the original broadcast. There are also repeats, omnibus editions, ITV's version of iPlayer, and those who recorded it and watched later.

All these are included for a week after the broadcast, and the final figures won't be out until Tuesday of next week.

People could catch up in 2013, every catch up service you just mentioned I am sure was around last year, I'm sure people missed it and wanted to catch up

I think the point being made is that we don't have the final figures for last Friday yet and won't until sometime next week whereas we do have the final figures for September 12th 2013. There could well be several hundred thousand, if not more than a million that will have watched last Friday's by next week that are not included in the figure given.

Well, we are left with the unchangeable death of Caarl King and the hideous Maurel but other than that Kate Oates has managed to pretty much bring it back round with little lasting damage.

I'm one of the deserters TBH, although it's not just Corrie.
I've reduced my viewing on all the soaps. I'm getting to the stage where I just can't be bothered anymore.

I actually think it is better now than it was during the Winter, Spring and early Summer. This is not meant to bash Tina (no pun intended) but I found the months leading up to her death tiresome indeed with complete character assisinations to fit the storyline and her constantly wandering round the Street to 'bump' into Peter. Things improved no end as soon as she died as i've found Rob and the Barlow's really interesting to watch in the aftermath and there are other emerging storylines like Kylue falling apart and Todd getting his comeuppance. I also don't mind Des Lennis or the new family.

Excellent, it's working. Rigging viewing figures is very lucrative business for a perfectly legal and legitimate company such as mine.

Are ITV really that thick? They read comments on here, we know they do as they use some nicknames and things from here ( it's surely no coincidence that MissHell has suddenly been a lot nicer recently after dozens of complaints of how awful she was to name one example), so they must be aware that Blackburn is as popular as a butcher in a vegan conference! Plus the trail of destruction that is a mirror image of his time in Emmerdale. Bringing old characters ( and inevitably bollocksing them up) , spectacular stunt after spectacular stunt IS NOT GOING TO WORK. You can change the ingredients and get bigger and better equipment until the cow's cows come home but if the chef is a numb-nut who has no clue what their doing the end product is always going to be a dog's dinner....

Who cares? All of the soaps have went down in ratings drastically. I bet we aren't even seeing a true representation of the full numbers with Catch Up being a thing.
