Does anyone else think it's creepy the way Shirley hangs around corners and alleys waiting for Phil to appear? Could we be looking at a stalker storyline if he gives her the push? "You call and I come running. That's the way it works" sounds like motto of an obsessed stalker if ever I heard one

She's a doormat and is pathetic around Phil. She is also poisoning Phil's ear about Sharon too. Hope Phil breaks her heart cos she deserves it.

I hope they don't go down that sort of road. I don't like it because Shirley turned him down at Christmas and hadn't really bothered with Phil until a few months back when she 'suddenly' decided she couldn't live without him, again. Prior to that she was focussing on her family and it was Phil going to her. Obviously they have done this to fit the story arc but its not cool...
I think stalker is a bit harsh though, its not like she is sat outside his house and spying on him...haha.

I agree with this. She wanted to have a word with him its hardly stalking but she couldn't go to the house in case Sharon was in, so the logical thing to do would be to wait outside, half out of sight in case Sharon is in and happens to look out of a window or come outside.

What about the other day when she was outside The Arches when Phil was trashing the place?

Didn't she show up in his house one night when he was returning from a date with Sharon? This was after she walked out on Carly again.

Shirley's stalker behaviour has been going on in the background for a while. They could actually make a storyline out of this.

She went to the Arches to talk to Phil about Ben. She showed and spoke to him, she didn't sot outside spying on him or anything! Haha.

Stalkers usually hide their behaviour, she is going to talk directly to Phil to talk to him. She isn't stalking him imo.

Yeah I don't know why she is saying to him Sharon is so awful because of the con, when Phil nearly killed the poor woman not long ago

I think the next few weeks will be the end of the Phil/Sharon/Shirley triangle. Though I still find it odd how Shirley wasn't fussed about Phil for months and then all of a sudden she is all over him? It was Phil going to Shirley all year, talk about a u-turn. I don't get it. I know it is to fit the story but..

Phil should seek legal advice and should probably get a restraining order against the fag-breath lunatic.

Having given up on the 'Sharon revenge' story we were promised which I had hoped would be about Sharon, Phil and Dennis and lowered my expectations for a boring old love triangle; I have to say I'm quite enjoying Shirl as a demented horny scarecrow with permanent PMT popping up from nowhere to have her wicked way with the Philth.

I hope she ties him up in the Arches and has her wicked way with him forever more.

I honestly can't wait for the tedious storyline to be over. Shirley is annoying with her attitude so hopefully they will never do this storyline again.

I like Shirley in general. I love her usually but I hate that they have suddenly reprised this obsession with Phil. I also hate how they have made Sharon forgive him for Dennis and the attack. What is it that Phil has over these women?

I liked Shirley but I hate her with Phil if this makes sense. Linda Henry deserves better than this crap "Shirley fawning over Phil" storylines.

I LOVED Shirley with her family but she's being ruined because of this love triangle.

Sharon's the same. I love her but I'm sick of her becoming a doormat too. How can she forgive Phil for the attack and she dropped her revenge grrr. Many people were excited for Sharon's revenge but nope she's a loser because of Phil.

I wish Shirley and Sharon would work together as I would much prefer this outcome

The whole story feels like it's been cobbled together and I can't help feeling disappointed with it. Maybe it will all make sense at the climax.

I'm with you 100%. This is ruining both Sharon and Shirley. I'm trying to reserve judgement until the bitter end in the hope of a twist but it seems Phil is certainly in control. Even if Sharon jilts him, he has still had an affair so that is futile imo.

Linda Henry definitely deserves better, it is Shirley's behaviour over Phil that holds her back, I liked their scenes until about June time. Since the engagement to Sharon I have been pretty peeved with how they have regressed Shirley. She was really starting to develop with her family.

I also think Phil brings Sharon down, she needs to be independent and strong again, the recent trailer is potraying her as the 'victim' so I am assuming that won't happen now.

If Sharon and Shirley had teamed up over Phil thanks would have made for epic viewing rather than Phil choosing between them. Linda and Letitia work so well together.

Sadly I am not surprised at any of it.

I know people think my posts on Philth can be rather repetitive but I honestly believe that TPTB would do anything to keep him 'Top Dog' - no matter how many characters or storylines they destroy in the process.

The evidence for this?

Just look at the entire 21st century of the show.

I heard rumours she peeks through Phil's windows, watching him and Sharon.

Fair dues to you, Keyser, you were bang on the money about the untouchable Phil Mitchell. I thought being Den's daughter and a fan favourite character since before the Mitchells arrived would work in Sharon's favour and the writers would, for once, allow Phil to be beaten. Sadly it was not to be. King Philth wins again

Sharon would never team up with human trash like Shirley. All this talk of them getting together to take down Phil is the stuff of fan fiction. Even if Sharon somehow came round to the idea of working with or befriending her, Evil Shirley would throw Sharon (or anyone else for that matter) under a bus in a second if it meant reclaiming Phil. She cannot be trusted.

I am now resigned to the fact that TPTB had been 'got to' in some way in the late '90's.

It is the only rational explanation I can think of.

If even Sharon Watts can be destroyed and made into a pathetic doormat there is no hope at all for the rest of the characters on the square.

I have to concur with you K. Even a draw would have been better than this. I don't give a toss who Phil is screwing, I'd rather he faced some karma for Dennis and the attack. They have turned Sharon into a pathetic specimen I agree.

Hmm, now I am no great fan of Shirley - and I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere already - but interesting phrasing in this spoiler for Thursday's episode:

Aunt Babe gives Shirley food for thought by pointing out that her anger towards Ben could ruin her plan with Phil.
Her plan? With a reminder from Aunt Babe who this week seemed to plant the seed of revenge... I wonder if Shirley's plotting to humiliate Phil and ditch him if/when he dumps Sharon? Not the best of masterplans granted but it's probably the most intelligent thing our Shirl' can muster! Though preferably this would come AFTER Sharon has already kicked him to the gutter, with Shirley being the one to leave him there. Dunno where the 'bang' would come into play.... the next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting indeed (and very heated on here too I'm sure ).
