Her plan? With a reminder from Aunt Babe who this week seemed to plant the seed of revenge... I wonder if Shirley's plotting to humiliate Phil and ditch him if/when he dumps Sharon? Not the best of masterplans granted but it's probably the most intelligent thing our Shirl' can muster! Though preferably this would come AFTER Sharon has already kicked him to the gutter, with Shirley being the one to leave him there. Dunno where the 'bang' would come into play.... the next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting indeed (and very heated on here too I'm sure ).”

Maybe Phil can't live with the humiliation of being dumped by Shirley and blows his own brains out

He would have to be a bloody good aim.

Shirley is Walford's version of the Overly Attached Girlfriend. If Phil picks Sharon Shirley won't just accept losing a man she's been obsessed with him for years. She'll be barging into their home and following them about alternately insulting Phil and telling him that no one loves and understands him like she does.

She cannot be trusted.”

Agreed. Shirley has given Sharon no reason to trust her and aside from Phil they have nothing in common. Shirley wouldn't want a friend who didn't need her and could stick up for herself. She prefers passive dependent women like Heather and Jean.
