It has been revealed today that a new Soap Opera has been commissioned.

Gerard Avenue is a new soap opera, set on the REAL street in Coventry, England.

Lauren Ashmore walked into Number 25. She sighed before sitting down on the sofa. The living room was empty; only a few boxes were scattered around. She smiled to herself.

Esther Dawson stood outside of The Dolphin, watching the rain fall down from the sky. She sighed to herself, hoping that the rain would soon stop.

Christopher Walker opened the door of Number 3.
“Nat?” He called to his girlfriend. Chris’ son, Warren Walker, ran around the corner and jumped into his arms.
“Hi Daddy!” He chirped. Chris smiled and rubbed Warren’s back.

“What’s up with you?” Ashley Dawson asked as his wife entered the pub. She shook her head.
“Nothing,” she lied.
Ashley frowned.

Zachary Haycock stood behind the counter in Rainbows. Lori Berridge walked in and smiled at him.
“Hi,” she whispered, taking off her wet coat.
“Hi. What can I do for you?” Zach asked politely.
“Can I have a Chicken Chow Mein, chips and curry sauce please,” Lori replied, fishing into her pocket for her purse.
“OK, that’s £5.99,” Zach said, writing the order down on a pad of paper.
“Oh for god’s sake,” Lori cursed, “I’ve left my purse at home!”
Zach smirked. “Don’t worry, you can pay me later.”
Zach put his hand into his pocket and pulled out a £5 note and a £1 coin. He placed it into the till and smiled.

Amelia Ashmore smiled at her daughter, Lauren.
“What are you smiling about?” Lauren asked as she looked up from her phone.
Amelia shook her head.
“Just how much you remind me of your Nan,” Amelia whispered.
Lauren forced a smile.

“We now declare the Dolphin Pub re-opened!” Ashley declared as he opened the doors to the pub. A crowd of people rushed in, obviously happy to be back in the pub. Ashley smiled to himself.


Jake Young entered the pub. He saw his younger brother, Jayden Young, sat at a table, alone. Jake walked over to him and sat down opposite.
“What’s up, little bro?”
“Nothing. I was just thinking; I want a job. Y’know, something to fall back on when I leave college.”
Jake smiled.
“I wasn’t gonna tell you yet, but I’ve sorted it.”
Jayden raised an eyebrow, confused.
“I’ve brought TJ’s garage. We can start tomorrow.”

Daniel Brown walked along the road, the rain bouncing off his jacket. He walked into Nisa Local, where Jean Bates was stood behind the counter.
“Hiya,” Jean chirped. Daniel smiled.
He picked up an energy drink, paid for it and then turned to walk to the door. On the way out of the shop he bumped into something. He looked down at a girl that was on the floor.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry!” The brunette said.
Daniel smirked. “It’s alright. Are you OK?”
The girl nodded.
“I’m Lauren. I just moved in. Nice to meet you.”
Daniel stuck his hand out for Lauren to grab, before replying.
“I’m Daniel, but people call me Danny.”
Lauren smiled before taking Danny’s hand. Danny lifted her up from the ground and smiled.
“Thanks. Bye,” Lauren said before entering the shop.
Danny raised an eyebrow as he looked at Lauren’s bum. He smiled to himself before walking along the road.

“Oh my God!” Lori laughed while chewing a noodle. She was sat next to Zach on a bench in the park, eating some Chinese food.
“It was so funny,” Zach said. “She didn’t even expect it!”
Lori smiled. She looked into Zach’s eyes before the pair leaned in closer. Their lips touched each other and they sat there, kissing.

Nice opening episode to show all the characters, liking the developments between Lori & Zach!

Thanks. I have a big storyline planned for Lori and Zach which shows how manipulative Lori is, which is one of several big storylines that are gonna be taking place in the next four months.

Lori smiled. She looked into Zach’s eyes before the pair leaned in closer. Their lips touched each other and they sat there, kissing.


“Where are you off to?” Zach asked, sitting up in the bed.
Lori was stood, naked, holding a blanket that was covering her breasts.
“What was did was a mistake,” she whispered, trying not to hurt Zach.
“We just had sex; you can’t say that!”
Lori forced a smile. “I’m really sorry,” she whispered before opening the window and climbing out, hoping nobody would see her.

Tina Berridge walked along the road, humming to herself. She glanced up at Zach’s window, which a blonde girl was climbing out of. Tina ignored out and carried on walking. A few seconds later, she found herself walking backwards.
“Lori?” She called.
Lori spun around, almost falling backwards.
“Aunt Tina…” she whispered.

Jake and Jayden walked into the garage. It was empty, except for a single man who was stood, holding a set of keys.
“Cheers, TJ,” Jake smiled as TJ passed him the keys.
“Look after this place, mate,” TJ whispered.
Jake nodded.
“Will do. Enjoy your new life in America, mate.”
TJ nodded sadly before climbing into his car and driving away. Jayden smiled at Jake.

“Hey, can you help me out soon?” Amelia asked.
Lauren looked at the clock. 8:30. She shook her head.
“Nope, sorry; first day at college. See ya, Mum,” she said before making her way out of the door.
Amelia frowned.

Liam Carter sat in the classroom next to his best friend, Niall Cooke.
“Apparently there’s a new girl,” Niall said.
“Mm. I heard she’s fit.”
Niall smirked to himself, but his thoughts were cut short by Danny sitting in front of them. He turned around and started to talk.

Paula stared at the bottle of vodka in front of her. She gulped.

Esther walked into the classroom, followed by Lauren.
“Good morning, class,” Esther greeted. “We have a new student today. Her name is Lauren, and I want you all to be nice.”
She glared at Liam, who smiled. Esther scanned the room, trying to find another empty seat that wasn't next to Danny. After a minute, she sighed.
“I'm sorry, but you’re going to have to sit next to Danny.”
Liam grinned as Lauren made her way over to the seat in front of his. When she got to the seat, she turned around and took her bag off. Liam stared at her bum before wolf-whistling. Lauren sat down and turned to face Liam. She winked, causing Liam to blush bright red.

“No, we can’t let him know; it’d break his heart!” Natalie Clifford hissed into the phone. “Yes! You can see them soon, just don’t let him know!”
Natalie put the phone down and sighed. Chris moved his ear away from the door, where he has been listening, and gulped.

“So, do you like the college?” Daniel whispered to Lauren halfway through the lesson. Lauren shrugged.
“It’s alright; there’s a few fit boys, so…” Lauren looked behind her at a boy who was sat at the back of the class, aware that Liam had heard what she said.
“Glad to know you feel that way, babe,” Liam sneered.
Lauren scoffed.
“Dream on, honey.”
Liam stuck his tongue out, but Lauren just smirked. Esther, who had only saw Liam sticking his tongue out, glared over at where Liam sat.
“Liam Carter! Do you have a problem?!”
Liam opened his mouth to speak, but shut it.
“No? THEN SHUT THE HELL UP!”
Liam sunk down in his chair.

Jake sat in the empty garage, thinking to himself. Ross Brown made his way into the garage and stopped in front of Jake.
“Can I help you?” Jake asked, clearly bothered by Ross’ presence.
“I need a job, and I was wondering…” Ross began, but was interrupted by Jake.
“No. Sorry,” Jake replied expressionlessly.
“Please!” Ross begged.
“Look, I’m busy right now. Please come back when your car breaks down. Chow!”
Ross sighed before making his way out of the garage.

Lauren and Danny walked along the road. College was finished, and loads of students were walking home.
“I’ll see you around?” Danny asked when they reached Lauren’s house. Lauren nodded.
“Yup. See you later.”
“Bye,” Danny replied. Lauren leant forward and kissed his cheek. Daniel blushed. Lauren started to make her way to the door. She turned, waved and then opened the door. Daniel smiled to himself.

Lauren and Danny walked along the road. College was finished, and loads of students were walking home.
“I’ll see you around?” Danny asked when they reached Lauren’s house. Lauren nodded.
“Yup. See you later.”
“Bye,” Danny replied. Lauren leant forward and kissed his cheek. Daniel blushed. Lauren started to make her way to the door. She turned, waved and then opened the door. Daniel smiled to himself.


"Lauren, wake up. You'll be late for college!" Amelia nagged.
Lauren groaned before climbing out of bed.

Ashley sat in the kitchen, frowning as he read the letter.
"Esther?" He called. Esther came out from the bathroom and smiled.
"Yes?"
"When were you gonna tell me?" Ashley asked, holding up the piece of paper.

Ewan Lawson kissed his Mum, Paula, on the cheek.
"See ya, Mum," he smiled before leaving the house. Paula glanced over to where a bottle of vodka sat.

"Are you coming college today?" Daniel asked his twin brother, Riley Brown. Before Riley could reply, Ross interrupted.
"Yes, he is. He's going to stop skiving from now on."
Riley frowned.
"But college is crap!"
"I don't care!" Ross snapped. "End. Of. Story!"
Riley groaned.

"Morning, lazy arse," Amelia grinned as Lauren made her way downstairs.
"Shattup." Lauren replied, smirking. She grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and opened the front door.
"Goodbye to you too!" Amelia called after her. She heard Lauren chuckle from the doorway. Amelia sighed.

"Morning," Chloe Clifford grinned as she watched Matthew Gray walked past her. He turned and looked down at her.
"Sorry, are you talking to me?" He asked, putting his hands on his hips. His tight t-shirt showed off his abs and muscles.
"Yup," Chloe flirted, squeezing Matt's muscles.
"Get off!" Matthew snapped, pushing the thirteen year-old girl away from him.
"Alright, alright! I know you love me; you don't have to be scared!"
"I'm 28..." Matthew reminded her. "That's like 14 years older than you?"
Chloe shrugged her shoulders.
"Well then!"
And with that, Matthew made his way along the corridor and into a classroom.

"Well, hello there!" Ewan called flirtatiously as he watched Lauren walk along the street.
"Erm, hi? Sorry, I can't talk, I'm late for college."
"I'm Ewan. Ewan Lawson. I'm late too; wanna walk with me?"
"Sure..." Lauren whispered cautiously. Ewan smiled, his dark brown beard giving him a rough and sexy look.
"So, I take it you're new around here?" Ewan asked after a while.
Lauren nodded. "Yeah, I moved in on Monday."
"Cool," Ewan replied. The rest of the walk was silent.

A figure tip-toed into the common room. It grabbed Lauren and Daniel's water bottle emptied the water out. The figure refilled it with something, smirked and put it back down. The figure made her way out of the common room, just as Ewan, Daniel and Lauren entered. Lauren grabbed her bottle and took a huge mouthful.
"Ugh, that's better." She smiled, not realising the contents of the bottle.
Daniel picked his up, and they made their way to their class.

"You're not going to college until you tell me what you were doing with Zach!"
"We've been doing this all night," Lori yawned, exaggerating.
"We'll do it until Christmas unless you tell me!"
"Nothing, I was with Ruby cos I got drunk," Lori lied.
"I'll just called Julie," Tina mumbled, standing up.
"NO! FINE! I'll tell you!" Lori shouted quickly. "I... He... Zach... He... He said I couldn't tell you..." Lori whispered.
Tina raised an eyebrow.
"Zach... forced me to sleep with him..."
Tina's jaw dropped.

"So, as I'm aware you all know, Mr Matthew Gray is away to do doing an exam in Westwood. This is due to him falling behind in class, which I am sure NONE of you will do. I'm also sure that you know that your usual teacher, Mrs Dawson, has not arrived at school today, so I will be covering for you instead." Aiden English, the Music teacher at Westwood, smiled. He was covering for Esther's class after she failed to arrive.
Lauren and Danny were sat in their usual seats, laughing and not listening to Aiden.
"Excuse me, Mr Brown and... the girl next to him, is there something you'd like to share with the class?"
"Yes," Daniel said, tipsy. "Did you know that I am a human?"
Lauren burst into laughter.
"Are you two alright?" Aiden asked.
Lauren nodded.
"We're fine, silly! Hehe..."
Aiden raised an eyebrow before pacing over to where Lauren sat. He put his finger underneath Lauren's chin and tipped her head back.
"He's gonna kiss her!" Daniel giggled, drunk.
"Breathe." Aiden ordered.
"Nah," Lauren whispered.
"BREATHE!" Aiden shouted.
Lauren breathed. Aiden sniffed.
"Vodka. You two have been drinking vodka."
"She was fine until in the common room," Ewan pointed out.
"You spiked her drink or something?" Aiden asked, jumping to conclusions.
"No!" Ewan shouted defensively.
"Get out of this classroom RIGHT NOW! Go home; I'll be calling the Police once I've dealt with these two!"
Ewan opened his mouth to speak, but Aiden was already dragging him out of the classroom.
"You," Aiden shouted, pointing at Lauren, "Go to the bathroom and clean yourself up!"
Lauren sighed before tipsily making her way to the girls bathroom. Ryan Bates, who had been stood by the window, watching, followed after her.

A figure looked down at Esther's lifeless body. They were wearing black clothes. The figure poked Esther's arm. She had blood pouring from her head. The figure turned and walked away.

"Are you OK, love?" Ryan asked as he entered the bathroom behind Lauren. She turned around and smiled.
"Oh, hi Jason!" Lauren smiled, confused.
"I'm not Jason; my name's Ryan."
"I still love you," Lauren whispered, wrapping her arms around Ryan's neck. Ryan breathed heavily.
"I'm not Jason. I'm not Ryan. But I can live with this," he smirked. Lauren leaned in and kissed his lips. She pulled away and smiled before they both snogged each other passionately and sloppily.
