"Lauren, can you show us what you and Lori have got so far?" Ashley asked. Lauren sighed. At that moment, there was a knock on the door. A policeman walked in.
"Ashley Dawson?" He asked. Ashley nodded.
"I am arresting you for the murder of Mrs Esther Dawson. You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence in court if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
The policeman slipped a pair of handcuffs onto Ashley's wrists. Lauren watched in horror as Ashley was led away. Ashley looked at Lauren, who was shocked having got into a car with a murderer.
OPENING TITLES
Ashley stood in his cell, biting his finger nail. He is looking rough, having spent the night there.
Amelia walks along the road and into the shop. She sees Ross, and smiles.
"Morning," Ross grins.
"Hi. Have you seen Lauren?"
Ross shook his head.
Lauren and Daniel sat on the bench. Danny's hand was wrapped around Lauren's shoulders, and she was resting her head on his chest.
"I got into the car with him..." Lauren whispered. "He could've..."
Daniel cut her off. "Hey, hey. Don't worry. He can't get you. He's locked up now."
Lauren looked up at Danny.
"Thanks," she smiled before leaning in and kissing his cheek. Lauren sat up. "We're gonna be late. Lets go."
Danny nodded.
Julie stood in the kitchen, silently. Ruby Haycock walked into the kitchen and smiled at Julie.
"Hi, Nan. How are you?"
"Good," Julie lied. She tucked the hospital letter into her coat pocket.
"What's that?" Ruby asked, grabbing a drink of water.
"Just the gas bills. No biggie," Julie replied before walking into the living room. Ruby watched her walk away, confused.
Riley waited outside of the college for his twin. Five minutes later, Danny and Lauren arrived.
"All right, bro?" Riley asked. Danny nodded. Lauren smiled at Danny and Riley before walking into the college. Lori soon joined her.
"What's up with her?" Riley asked once Lauren was out of ear range.
"Dawson," Danny replied. Riley forced a smile.
"Do you think he did it?"
"I dunno," Danny answered.
"I heard Lori saying that the Police were there all day yesterday."
Danny's eyes widened.
Lauren placed the books neatly into her locker.
"So, what did you say?" She asked Lori.
Lori sighed. "I lied. I told her that he raped me."
Lauren's jaw dropped.
"Are you serious?" She hissed.
Lori nodded.
"You've gotta tell the truth."
"No!" Lori snapped, before changing the subject. "Anyway. What's this between you and Dan?"
"What?" Lauren asked.
"Oh come on, you totes like him!"
"I don't. We're just really good friends."
"Suurreee..." Lori grinned. The bell rung, and Riley and Danny joined the two girls.
"It wasn't me!" Ashley screamed, slamming his hands down onto the desk.
The policeman frowned.
"Calm down, Mr Dawson."
"Why would I kill my wife!?"
"Did she annoy you in the hours leading up to her death and disappearance?"
"Wait a minute," Ashley raised an eyebrow. "Her disappearance? You haven't found her body?"
The policeman frowned. "Well... no. Not exactly..."
"So you don't know that she's flipping dead!"
"We found her blood."
"Period."
"We found her phone."
"There's a hole in the bottom of her handbag; she's always saying she'll get a new one."
The policeman sighed and ended the tape, knowing that he was getting no where.
The alleyway was dark. Tina shone a torch inside.
"Hello?" She whispered.
A man, disguised by the shadows, stepped forward a little bit.
"Ms Berridge?" He asked, his accent American. Tina nodded. The man passed her a black bag and Tina smiled broadly.
"Nineteen pounds of C. That's £19 please, love."
Tina rapidly pulled a £20 note out of her purse. She passed it to the man before making her way out of the alley. She ran back to her house and opened the bag. She produced a bag of cocaine and smirked.
The policeman grabbed Ashley's arm and threw him back into his cell.
"Good night, Dawson."
A figure placed a camera down on a table before sneaking out of the house.
Lauren walked along the street. The sky was dark. Ryan stood outside of his house, smoking a cigarette. He immediately put it out when he saw Lauren.
"Oi, Lauren!"
Lauren turned to see Ryan. She sighed.
"What Ryan?"
"You look cold."
"I'm fine."
"Come inside?"
Lauren sighed before following Ryan into the house. Ryan grabbed a blanket and tossed it to Lauren, who scoffed.
"Make yourself at home. Do you want a cup of tea?"
Lauren nodded. "Yeah, please."
Ryan made his way into the kitchen. Lauren stood in the centre of the room, looking around. Ryan came back a minute later.
"We're out of milk," Ryan frowned. Lauren laughed.
"I can go?"
"No, it's alright."
"I'll..."
"No, Lauren."
Ryan stood, looking down at Lauren.
"I want to," she whispered.
"No you don't. I know what you want to do."
Lauren cocked her head, confused. Ryan leant in and kissed her lips.
Lauren blushed.
"You shouldn't have done that," she warned.
"I can do it again."
He kissed her again. Lauren laughed and they both kissed passionately before climbing onto the sofa, where they had sex. In the corner of the room, a camera played, unbeknownst to them.
