I can guarantee people moan about them more than they are on the show!
Plus, it's not like they take up airtime. They're a big family - but they are all individual characters. Nancy hasn't been given a storyline yet, so giving Nancy a storyline wouldn't essentially mean more Carters, just a bit more of Nancy.
I quite like how they fit in to the dynamics of the square. Think of Walford as a prison (well, it must be - nobody has a job outside of it). Everybody's been in there for a long time, they all sink in. Then the Carters come along, very new to everything. Soon, they'll sink in as well, and EastEnders will move on.
I saw a comment mentioning how it's going to be the Carter show all over again because Linda's mum is being introduced. Linda's mum. Elaine Peacock.
The comments are getting quite silly! You're entitled to your own opinion, most definitely, but "The Carter Show"? Come on. I bet soon everyone will be calling it the Kat & Alfie show! And when Shabnam gets her storyline, we'll all be calling it the Shabnam show!
