As much as it pains me to say it and as brilliant Alfie/Shane has been this week we can't run away from the fact that he has in fact committed a crime and even though he was incredibly brave going back in for Kat he did endanger her life and it was a stupid and reckless thing to do, as a fire fighter Tosh will have seen/experienced all sorts of horrors and it's part of her job to help prevent fires and promote fire safety so she was only doing her job!

How do you know she got over her miscarriage, and why should it render her incapable of doing anything else?

She said she had 'lost' the baby which suggests a miscarriage as you can't lose what wasn't there. Either way it's bad writing

She thought she was pregnant and it turns out she wasn't. She didn't lose the baby as there was no baby to lose. I guess she's a bit bitter towards Alfie because she believes he's a unfit parent and is trying so hard to be a parent herself. She doesn't seem to understand or know that it took Alfie longer to become a farther due to his chances of becoming a farther been so low. Perhaps if she known this she would think twice before opening her mouth.

It does seem very odd and ambiguous to claim it's a miscarriage and a period at the same time. Weren't both claimed in the same episode? Tina could easily have said Tosh got it wrong and wasn't actually pregnant rather than she'd lost the baby. Mind you, Tosh herself said she'd got her period and then that she'd lost the baby a couple of sentences later... wtf?

I also didn't understand what the script writers wanted us to think, but I think that Tosh saying that she lost the baby was more in her mind than it actually happening as she thought she was pregnant but she said herself that she actually wasn't and didn't want to tell Tina.

Tosh totally knows what Alfie has done. Remember the BBQ they had in the Square a week or so ago when Toss was talking to both Alfie and Mick about her last shout and how it had been an insurance job, Alfie said something like 'Do many people get away with it then?' and Tosh looked suspicious then.

Move forward a couple of weeks and this happens. I don't think she'll say anything to the Police though. Chances are she will blackmail Alfie into giving her half of whatever he makes on the back of the fire to help pay for more IVF treatment.

I watched This Morning again last night and Shane didn't actually say Alfie dies at Christmas he was referring to a comment his son made so we don't know for sure but yes if Alfie does die it could possibly be suicide!

Yep. Tosh isn't the nicest person on the Square and I do feel sorry for Alfie but why does she have to have an ulterior motive for informing on Alfie? She is a firewoman, she risks her life again and again fighting fires, if She has a suspicion that somebody has started one on purpose she has a legal and moral duty to report it.

I thought Mick told Alfie that she had gone to the police.

It is obvious Tosh knows but it reminds me of Columbo who always seems to know at the beginning of the story who did it but how and why is Tosh so sure just because of a bit of chit chat Anyway even if she is truly unsure about Alfie she seems to be going about it out of spite rather than real care about the fire I've always liked Tosh but she has a real nasty side and it is coming out here.

Having said that Alfie is a disgusting father and man and has to be found out and punished so I'm on Tosh's side here
