Tests aren't always accurate. Especially if you've been undergoing tons of fertility treatment

I don't care what her motives are. Tosh sticking her nose into Alfie's business is a lot more interesting than yet another baby plot on this show.

It is obvious Tosh knows but it reminds me of Columbo who always seems to know at the beginning of the story who did it but how and why is Tosh so sure just because of a bit of chit chat Anyway even if she is truly unsure about Alfie she seems to be going about it out of spite rather than real care about the fire I've always liked Tosh but she has a real nasty side and it is coming out here.

Having said that Alfie is a disgusting father and man and has to be found out and punished so I'm on Tosh's side here ”

why on earth does Tosh have a nasty side just because she has gone to the police? Alfie committed a serious crime in which people could have been killed and one person has been seriously injured, You then have the fraud aspect of it also so she did precisely the right thing in going to the police. Alfie is the one in the wrong here not her.

I assume that Tosh had a very early miscarriage, surprising they are quite common. If you weren't trying for a baby you would just assume your period was late and think no more about it. As Tosh was trying as soon as she was late she would have tested and got the positive, sadly the pregnancy was not viable so her 'period' came although really this was the very early pregnancy passing. I think these are called chemical pregnancies.

This obviously happened in the episode I missed? Thursday??

So did she miscarry or was it a phantom pregnancy or something else???

Tosh is a very tough character, so on the outside you think she is fine. But deep down, she is likely heartbroken but isn't the type of person to show that to everyone. It would be out of character for us to see Tosh in a mourning and upsetting stage that quite a few women who experience miscarriages would go through.

When did I say she had a nasty side because she went to the police I thought I made it clear in my post that her attitude to the fire and how she is going about this appears to be out of spite rather than actual care about the fire. I think this backs up that she has a nasty side of which we are already aware as she beats Tina

As for her going to the police over Alfie I'm behind her as I said in my post

What I didn't like was Mick telling Alfie about it and saying that Tosh had grassed on him. No she didn't. She is a fire and rescue professional who has uncovered and reported a serious crime, in which somebody could have died. I imagine that to do anything else would make her criminally negligent.

As for the miscarriage/loss of the baby - it was very early on and Tosh is, as some of you have said, a fairly tough cookie at least on the surface. A loss that early in pregnancy wouldn't necessarily make her fall apart, particularly as I'm not sure she is doing it for the right reasons - more to control Tina and tie them together.
