Carla Connor.
She is a complex and very layered character portrayed by an actress who understands her perfectly. I see Carla as a very strong woman who has gone through incredible heartbreak and tragedy but beneath the tough facade that she likes to present to the world, she is vulnerable and fragile.
I loved the way the writers developed her friendship with Hayley. She was constantly at Hayley's side throughout the cancer storyline, showing her sensitive and compassionate side, and brightening up even the darkest of days with her no-nonsense attitude. Roy knows how much Hayley adored and respected Carla and I think that's partly why the Roy and Carla friendship works so well. I find their scenes very real, honest, and endearing.
