I'm not surprised. Amy was willing to let a dog be put down to spite someone she was jealous of. It's no wonder she's not the favourite

Simon seems to look more and more like a young Michael Jackson. Another cute kid that has turned oddball as he gets older like Chesney.

I think it's interesting how they're exploring this side of Amy's character. She's bound to be resentful of the amount of attention that Simon receives from their family, in comparison to her. Throughout the years we've constantly had reference to the effect that the latest crisis would do to Simon. Amy really must feel like the forgotten child. Remember the time she deliberately drank milk- in spite of her dairy allergy- she's starved of attention. Her mother is a self-serving, vindictive bitch who's too caught up with her fiance. Steve is always too busy at the Rovers etc.

The girl playing Amy is a good child actress, and I think she will evolve into a good adult actress.

Assuming you're (as usual ) referring to his looks, could you elaborate on how he looks like an oddball?

He's growing up quickly - kids do - but he's a lovely looking 11 year old who I predict will turn out to be a real little heartbreaker in a few years.

I have to admit, that is something I don't really like about this forum. I've seen people make rather rude comments about the actor's looks before (poor Gaynor Faye in Emmerdale is constantly called a horse) and now people are saying children look like oddballs

Michael Jackson was a good looking young man anyway. Unless the previous poster is saying that the child who plays Simon looks like a man who had a lot of plastic surgery and ended up ruining his face. That's a sweet comment

Wait for the classic DS reply "Oh, but I am talking about the character, not the actor". Yeah, that doesn't really excuse it as they are the same person.

What are people's obsessions with going on about how he looks black, or has curly hair. As done to death as people going on about Ben Price looking old. Just accept it and move on. It's not like Peter is exactly the spitting image of both his parents, Simon could be related to him.

I like when Amy and Curly are looking daggers at each other when the adults can't see. I hope they don't make friends

Yes, but........................ young Michael Jackson looked black and not mixed race. The actor cant look like something that didn't actually exist in reality, due to the plethora of plastic surgery that took place to create a the "new" Michael Jackson that we all now remember.

As you are supposed to be 18 to post on the forum it seems like a whole lots of adults like picking on kids. One of the things I hate too and and I don't get where in society it is correct or right to talk about kids in that way especially when you aren't related to them. sure there is a lot of DS forum poster children out there with issues due to their parents veing quite frankly not nice people

Amy was spot on about them only caring about Simon. Amy hasn't had an easy ride in life either, yet all they seem to bother about is how things affect Simon. Through a childs eyes it must be very upsetting and hurtful to see one child so much more favoured. Her mother is more interested in her own life, her grandparents only bothered about Simon, no wonder Amy is so resentful. If you ask me she was better off when she lived with Steve at the pub.

Tracy was right about Simon being the golden boy. I think a lot of families have them, a child who is seen as never wrong and favoured over anyone else.

What I hate with Simon is how they show him being just plain rude to people and he is never pulled up in it. Instead you have fawning adults like Leanne and Deirdre making poor excuses to condone his behaviour.

Simon and Amy will end up having some sort of affair no doubt seeing as their not blood related whatsoever.

I think he is a beautiful child and a smashing actor. So is the child that plays Amy. They are both outstanding.

Someone posted an old clip with Ken's father in, and Peter looks just like him.
Coro are usually spot on with matching up relatives so I expect a relative who looks like Simon will pop up one day.

Yes, poor Amy has had her mother in jail, Michelle for a stepmother, then Michelle ignoring her and Becky as her stepmother, then Max was her brother, then he wasn't, then Michelle was her stepmother again, and her Grandparents disappear to Canada and Spain and Jail! .

Cousins can marry anyway. I don't think it is usual if they are brought up together though.
