I hope not for either.

As much as I love Dean, if DTC is not going to go down the mental health route with Dean (as I think this is the only way he could be redeemed in any way), and Dean is going to be punished, I hope it is by the justice system and not by being killed! However, as a character, Dean is weak and therefore I could easily see them writing him as being suicidal once he realises exactly what he's done as I don't think he'd cope with the guilt, and this is how he dies.

I don't think DTC would dare pick off a character like Alfie. He's a huge part of EastEnders and has been since I can remember - he would be making a huge mistake killing him off.

I can't see Alfie dying. Would they really axe him?

And if Richie quit then Wallace would soon follow. Didn't they say they only returned because it was together?

Alfie doesn't die at Christmas! shane richie was joking! I wouldn't care if they killed off dean, he's a shit character, the rape and if he was killed off would make him a little more memorable, I'd like mick to kill him and them shirley to reveal she's his mom!

No, not Mick. We have enough murderers filling up the main cast.

Shane was referring to something his son said so Alfie dying is only a rumour.

I don't want Mick to murder Dean because I don't want him to be a murderer!

Dean is a good character imo and i think killing him off would just be an easy way out of the rape and brother storylines. He should go to prison, but I wouldnt be shocked if he dies. I just think him dying would be a bit of a lazy way out and waste a lot of dramatic potential.

They'll never kill off Alfie.

I know that Alfie isn't dying any time soon, but I think it would be very clever if he did die at this point. Only because the love story of Kat and Alfie, in the beginning was very much rooted for, after a few bumps they still were together. Now that they are back in a happy relationship (let's not mention first years of the return), they have finally got their own biological children and it seems a bit too happy for soapland. So the idea of after all this time, they finally have everything they always wanted would be bittersweet and perfect soap timing.

But we all know ain't gonna happen.

A death free Christmas in Albert Square is a bit like a Turkey free Christmas for the rest of us. There is only 14 weeks till Christmas i think we should be hearing spoilers about what is going to happen at Christmas shortly.

Let's be honest Shane Richie's ego is probably taking a battering since Danny Dyer arrived.

It wouldn't surprise me if Alfie did die, say suicide, because the Slaters and Kat find out that he started the fire etc and then the police etc. And he commits suicide thinking it's his only escape as he's desperate..

Can't see them killing Alfie off and if they do, it would be a massive mistake. Kat and Alfie are EastEnders Golden couple and have been for many, many years. They are the couple you can see getting old together on screen.

I'll bet because Danny Dyer's ego took a separate taxi to the TV Choice Awards!

I am predicting an exit for Alfie in the near future. I feel this is a storyline a character like Alfie can't really come back from.

For all we know, Shane may of quit. It just seems like a storyline that is heading for an exit of his character.

I don't think anyone is suggesting it should be but with the raping, arson storyline, the ongoing murder investigation and all the Carter revelations about their pretty awful sounding childhood i think there doesn't need to be a death on top of all that.

It does but you never know they may find a way round it.
