netflix and/or the film companies ain't taking this lying down. did you not read this?
https://www.reddit.com/r/adfreetime/...here_we_stand/ even if a company finds a way around, it will only be very temporary solution. do you really think these small bit unblocker players will be able to offer a viable, lasting solution against the might of netflix and the film companies? i'm really surprised some people here still think they have a chance. you need to admit defeat, move on and find another way of getting the stuff you you want. |

As for the studios maybe they should start realizing that many are willing to pay a reasonable amount to watch content. But trying to force people into expensive satellite or cable subscriptions to watch content or not providing content at all in said Country will push people into piracy. |

^^ Don't worry Peter looking at some of Stuart P's posts, you'd assume he had a vested interest in us not getting all the regions.

Unotelly virginia IP us test 5 works on apple tv 4. Although took a while to load. But it works, watching west wing now. only tested and testing in apple tv 4
edit: so after completing an episode of the west wing, it won't play the next episode, giving me an error. will shut down netflix and restart apple tv and try netflix again edit 2: completing another episode of Criminal minds (lol) and it works again after the shut down and restart edit 3: next ep of criminal mind works no issues |

I'm well aware that there's not likely to be a working solution available, so it's not at all that I'm not accepting reality, admitting defeat and moving on. I did say in a previous post that I'm prepared to go back to streaming torrents.
The only remaining question now is whether I'm going to get my 10+ months remaining subscription back or lose it as tough luck. Netflix is getting cancelled regardless as with torrents, Sky (that I was offered free for a year) and my Youview, without the access to other regions the only thing I shall miss on Netflix is OITNB and the documentaries. |

So how come the likes of Hulu and BBC Iplayer have constantly failed to block VPN's?
With Hulu and Amazon Prime and the like, well they have a vested interest in non-American people being able to view their content, because it requires an account which is revenue they'd lose if they blocked VPN/SmartDNS which is different to the Netflix issue. I have an Amazon Prime USA sub and a Hulu sub, I'm not in the USA, if I couldn't view them with smartDNS I wouldn't have the subs, ergo money lost, if I can't access Netflix USA (and other regions) there's still a fairly strong chance I'd keep the Netflix sub because I'd still get access to a huge amount of content, the only issue that might make me change my mind is forced subs, I tried watching Modern Family on Netflix and it had forced Swedish subs (there's no off option for subtitles in Scandinavian Netflix for certain English language shows due to "licensing reasons" apparently. |

I don't believe iPlayer finances involved warrant them caring much about it, most of the content you can see on iPlayer isn't premium stuff you "should" be buying from your local cable channel or whatnot, I mean does any country in the world charge access to Match of the Day or such?

As for the BBC iplayer I would argue shows like Happy Valley, Doctor Who and Top Gear are premium in that they make alot of money being sold abroad. So again the BBC have been very vocal at stopping VPN users but it is virtually impossible. As for Netflix. Netflix created a system where it was very easy to watch other region content and turned a blind eye. It is only now doing something because they have forced to do so by content providers. Considering how poor the content is in some regions Netflix do have alot to lose. And remember there are regions alot worse than the UK. |

Slightly melodramatic. They don't want to kill Netflix in the slightest. They won't it's a massive company. They just want people to watch whatever's on their region. Not saying I agree with it, but to say it's killing Netflix is rather silly.

Try reading what you're responding to a bit more carefully in future. The tone of your response says a lot about you and none of it is complimentary,
Secondly you imply they've won. When they clearly have not its harder now however it's not impossible. Ive got access to it on all devices and so have many. Just becuase one service stops working does not mean It's game over. |

Not much to borderless internet or unotelly work. I've not tried unotelly but mate says it working really well again.
With regards to the block as I said I really don't think Netflix wanted to go down this route and from what they have said they find licencing restrictions frustrating. Some of the rights holders have been moaning big time though for some time about Netflix. Sony pictures has been one of the biggest moaners which is known after they got hacked through leaked emails.http://www.cnet.com/au/news/sony-pic...eas-vpn-users/ |

I use Unblock US, and my primary DNS went down last night, lost all internet connection to the TV. Restored my TV's original DNS and everything worked, then tried the secondary DNS from Unblock and that worked, but I only have access to UK Netflix.

It is a shame yes. UK netflix is ok for about 2 weeks then you have watched anything that's halve decent.
Only way I can watch US netflix atm is on my PC, but that isn't ideal when I predominantly I watch it on ps4 or the xbox |

Much appreciated Unotelly have a good guide on on how to do it. It seems rather complicated at first however it's just entering a few numbers. I don't no what made me consider doing this however it seems to gain access on all services I tried, including unblockus. I was trying everything as some of my friends where struggling with Unotelly and borderless internet too. However after applying all the static routes on unotelly website unotelly work. I then when check his VPN and most of all these services and they seem to work without a hitch |

If you no your way around your router and your router allows you add static routes to block public dns lookups you service should resume.

Not 100% confirmed yet, but everyone is likely facing a price rise for Netflix as well. People who were members in May 2014 are 'grandfathered' on £5.99 a month, but they said it was guaranteed for 2 years. meaning it's likely everyone currently paying £5.99 a month will be paying £7.49 a month (or £8.99 if you want 4K), shortly, unless you want the basic package, still £5.99 but standard definition streaming only.
