Not 100% confirmed yet, but everyone is likely facing a price rise for Netflix as well. People who were members in May 2014 are 'grandfathered' on £5.99 a month, but they said it was guaranteed for 2 years. meaning it's likely everyone currently paying £5.99 a month will be paying £7.49 a month (or £8.99 if you want 4K), shortly, unless you want the basic package, still £5.99 but standard definition streaming only.
It is 100% confirmed. All 5.99 uk plans were grandfathered till May this year. Amazingly with the price hikes in the US and UK, they'll only be about 30p difference in price.

Unblock US have stopped replying to emails now. They sent me alternative dns on the 5th, I tried their suggestions and reported back straight away that they didn't work and asked them to advise how I should proceed. Nothing, so I emailed again yesterday requesting a response and asking for a refund of my 10 months unused subscription, but still nothing.

Everything I read says that they're not replying to anyone's emails although on Twitter they're still requesting people email support.

They've been responding to me fine regarding Watch ABC issues.

Not sure you'd get a refund, as your still getting a DNS service, just that NF have blocked it.

I was told by Unblockus that the problem with Netflix was intermitant . I'd be interested to know if anyone has found this, as I think it is pretty permanent at the moment.

I am using playmo.tv which is working currently for usa Netflix only. I did try briefly borderlessinternet which works as well and weirdly enough you can select any region and it works as well but it was very slow.

Might be worth a look at either of these guys but don't commit to anything more than a month as things could change drastically at anytime with either of these companies.

Yes, Borderless has slowed down recently (maybe due to the influx of new sign ups?), but still worth it if you want access to other regions - Canada is back now as well .

I honestly wouldn't have a clue what else I could even use the service for. I only ran it through my Apple TV for Netflix. I can't access any other US content on my Apple TV with their DNS so I'm not sure what use it actually was apart from for using with Netflix

Not intermittent for me or anyone else I know who was using it. Everyone is totally locked out of every other country except their home country

Yes you can, just change the iTunes Store region to the US and use the apps that show up. Some require a cable sub so can't use those, but some have plenty of free content and the big names shows are free to play around a week after US air date.
I use Fox Now, NBC, Watch ABC just to name a few.

You can use HULU on your laptop too as it has a free version.

You're confusing Hola with Hulu.

Hulu = US aggregation of television network's catch-up services combined into one app. Networks such as NBC, ABC, PBS, FOX and plenty more all in one place. It is a US only service (unless you unblock via Smart DNS or VPN) and to put it into a UK perspective, imagine if as well as the iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 etc had their own apps like they do, there was a third party version that combined them all together. This is Hulu. They offer a free version (with many limitations) and two subs, the cheaper has a small amount of commercials, and the slightly more expensive is commercial-free. Hulu differs from Netflix in that it has the latest episodes of shows currently showing, as well as plenty of older movies.

Hola = A somewhat dodgy way to gain access to geographically blocked services on a computer or laptop. The free version has serious security implications and should be avoided if possible (Generally speaking Smart DNS or VPNs do a far better job and are far safe even if they cost a bit of money)

I think you mean HOLA, HULU is a subscription service in the USA that offers shows from the major networks normally the day after they air on the HULU+ service, the free service HULU offers the shows around about a week after they air in the USA, both hulu and hulu+ offer movies too.
HOLA on the otherhand i wouldn't touch with a bargepole you are indeed correct they do steal bandwidth, i personally use IBVPN which is a no log paid for vpn service.

I too have had the service for a long time and have cancelled. I think they have failed to keep up with new technology and the instructions on the site have become outdated recently. They must have lost a large number of customers recently so they will need to adapt in order to survive.
