I've succeeded in getting access to Netflix UK to work from overseas today by using Unlocator's beta service, this has worked for my Apple TV and computer.

If this avenue is eventually closed I will just stop paying for Netflix and seek other sources.

It is all getting very weird now. Unotelly is now working for me again but it is not working on my workplace proxy now. My workplace uses an American proxy and I can't switch it off. I can't even get the content which is available in the UK to play.

Totally agree. I will stop paying too. Of course when I complained to Netflix about this they tried to put a positive slant on it by saying the same content would be made available to all soon which is complete tosh.

I'm currently using Unlocator BetaUS (for over a week) and everything is working great!

I had limited success with this. Worked on one or two devices but not on others.Would consider joining when they have a few more regions working.

It does amaze me that people think they should be entitled to all the content in the world for 7 quid a month.

Its not a matter of being entitled to the whole world. Its Netflix treating their customers the same. Why should we be entitled to far less titles in the UK than elsewhere for the same and in some cases paying more than other countries?

And of course what has escalated this is Netflix launching in nearly every Country. Some of these Countries don't even have a decent reliable internet service so what was the point? And there are Countries like Morocco where there are only 157 titles to choose from! Who would subscribe for that rubbish amount of content? Also the fact that many use VPN's for security reasons not for region switching and to not allow these people access to at least the content available in their region is complete and utter short sightness from Netflix.

Far fewer titles, not less. We haven't got fewer titles then many other countries. I read last week, South Africa has under 800 titles to choose from!

You say less, others say different. You are paying 7 quid for access to the UK library of content. You are not paying 7 quid a month to access content in other territories. It's customers in those other markets who are paying for that content. You have no right to access it.

I completely agree Netflix UK has a lousy library of content, and is not worth the 7 quid a month. That's why I pay Sky for access to all the content I do want - legal, hassle-free, across all my screens. Sky can only make all that content available to me though because they charge a price that allows them to be able to afford the rights.

They charge an absolute rip off price for a poor service. The picture is absolute pants compared to Netflix and Amazon and everybody is subsiding Sports fans because Sky are paying so much for sporting rights.

I've added 185.37.37.37 to my router and it's been faultless with everyone of my devices for weeks! 🤔 ... very strange! 😔

(Luckily my Unblock-Us sub has now finished and I wouldn't be stupid enough to hand over anymore money to those guys cause their obviously finished) 😫

Netflix is blocking VPNs and it becomes really difficult to access US Netflix. I have tried to access Netflix with different VPNs and most of them did not work. Then my friend suggest me to use "Hide-My-IP" and it is working perfectly. Now I am accessing Netflix without any issue.

You sound like you work for sky!

I don't pay for sky go but when ive had a look its just filled with adverts and the video quality is far poorer compared to netflix.

can't stand adverts - sometimes 2mins worth before you get to a programme is a joke when you're paying £20+pm for the family pack or whatever it's called.

Also the audio quality when watching on a iphone / ipad is terrible - sounds too over compressed.

Oh and there's no 'continue watching' or 'my library' section like Netflix / now tv / amazon prime - so you have to manually search for the programme you last watched (trying to remember what episode you got upto) - I guess they want you to install a satellite dish instead lol

I've been using Borderless Internet for the last month or so & it has been working perfectly... Other than during the ddos attack they recently experienced!

Since using them I've had emails from Netflix on two separate occasions telling me that they've detected suspicious activity on my account & making me reset my password... I've never had this before as a Netflix user of several years, so the likely hood that it's related to my Borderless Internet use is pretty high - have any other users had similar issues?

Been with them for 2 months and not had any emails from Netflix like you say you've received. Maybe it's something unrelated to using BI and some form of other attack on your account? Maybe ask on the BI reddit page ?

On the subject of BI, they have been great so far and are always fronting up and keeping you informed of latest news on their twitter and reddit page, or like last weekend an email was sent apologising for the inconvenience caused by the two ddos attacks you mentioned. When my free trial comes to an end in July I'll definitely stick with them.

Thanks for that - perhaps there's another cause to my issue... I'll see if I can get to the bottom of it.

I agree that BI have been superb. Other than the ddos attack at the weekend that they were completely upfront about & did everything they could to keep their service running, I've had no problems with them at all.

Never had any issues with Borderless Internet. I just finished my fourth free trial with them

Viperdns is another good option which I've just started using. Cheaper than most of the others too.

So how does BI work, as far as I can see, you can't select a NF region, like UNblock for instance.

All you do is click on the Region tab and then select the region you want using the drop down box aligned to Netflix. It will initially display Local as the default selection.

Hi,
I'm getting the Netflix proxy error on Overplay's SmartDNS service, have Overplay put out a fix for this yet? I've emailed their support but not heard anything from them yet.
Cheers

Ah thanks I couldn't actually see that from just the website without actually signing up. SO in theory I change the DNS on my TV and then use my ipad to change regions? much like unblock us?

Yes, see no reason why that shouldn't work. I have only entered the DNS settings into my PS3. Haven't needed to mess around with my router or such like. Just as well probably! If you do need to they have instructions that cover all that under the Help tab.
