That shapeshifter character

Shame she cured herself.

Could have been a potential companion.

(Or she could have been a villian & impersonated Clara without the Doc being aware!)

With them having a shapeshifter, I would have preferred it to be Frobisher

Yes!

Maybe, but sometimes it's nice to get some closure on the characters' stories rather than future farming.

I rarely want someone back in just cos they were good in one episode but I can see a definite opening for her to return. She said she could hold a shape indefinitely and as far as I could tell, what the Doctor gave her was not a "cure" so much as a way to control the ability - combine those and she can now change into someone and then use the "tonic" to prevent herself being forced to change if touched.

In essence, she could become this year's "Tesalecta"

It would get rather confusing if she was to touch a Zygon though

I haven't watched this episode for a second time yet, so this probably a stupid question:

did we ever confirm that the saibre we saw was actually her usual "normal" non-shape shifted form? Is she not the Rani really ?

Brilliant idea there.

It would be great to have a shapeshifter member of the Tardis crew. Like that woman in the 70's/80's Buck Rogers series with the funny eyebrows.

Was there a shapeshifter in Buck Rodgers?

The eyebrows comment made me think more of the shapeshifter Maya in Space 1999.

I've been a little confused all day. I'm probably mixing her up with the race from Buck Rogers series 2 that had white feathers for hair.
Some race of hawk humans ?
