Obvious guess is a reappearance in this series and I've said elsewhere that she could be this year's Tesalecta - but they also had "kid's TV spin-off" written all over them - somewhere between X-men and Manga. |

People were saying the same after the scene with The Doctor and Robin Hood at the end of Robot of Sherwood a few weeks ago, and the same about the woman in Into the Dalek the week before that.

Watching Doctor Who Extra, I get the feeling we'll seeing them again...
At the end, the actors were asked where they see their characters a year on, and they said they imagine meeting up with the Doctor and Clara from time to time. Then the narrator says excitedly "Well you never know, we may be seeing this dynamic duo again some day!" and then the credits roll I'd be more surprised if they didn't show up again to be honest.

I hope not.
It's Psi that worries me. I understand a lot of people like him because of the computer mind, and it isn't something that has been done on Who, but it's what makes me a little wary of him. It seems like a 90's throwback to cyber-punk. Johnny Mnemonic/Ghost in the Shell/ Neuromancer/Ergo Proxy. I know a few of those are classics in their own right, but I personally find the whole concept of computerised brain and deleted memories have grown a little stale - and trite. Saying that - the deleted memories, and past could have saved him as a character. But now he has them again, not sure there is a story - or character growth with him. If they developed that throughout the series, and had him recover his childhood or something and be conflicted about it - or shocked by his past brutality or deeds or something - he could have been a very powerful character. I dunno. He might be good as a companion - but at the same time I think they've already destroyed the thing that could have set him apart. |

I think there are two ways that Moffat and company can go with Psi and Saibra ....
1) They get another episode like Craig did in Series 6 2) They get a semi-recurring status (1 or 2 eps during Series 9 and 10) like the Paternoster Gang and UNIT (Kate/Osgood) Either scenerio would suit me because like Journey Blue (IMO), they're the type of guest characters you at least want to see another appearance from, plus they have interesting backstories as well to boot. |

While I don't think it will ever be referenced the upgrade that Psi had could it be early version of what Adam had done?

They could always bring back Psi and Saibra - along with Strax & Co for a grand finale (Like they did with Captain Jack, Sarah Jane, Rose & Martha!)
They have potential!! |

im seeing this series as a building up of 2 sides....the doctor has blue, robin, psi, saibra...people he has helped...and on the other side there is missy gathering her team of people the doctor has not saved or not kept his word to...i reckon all these people are going to pop up somewhere around the finale.
Moffats got a habit of doing that anyway, whether its the pirates and danny boy in the battle of demons run, or churchill and other supporting characters in the wedding of river song so im convinced we will see all these people again |

Just because you didn't SEE him do something doesn't mean it didn't happen. And we saw this week that memories may not be what they seem and deleted memories can be restored - including electronic memories. |

I liked both of those characters, far more than I like the lizard gang, and would like to see them again.

Psi & Saibra seem much more interesting. Would make a change from young pretty earth girls running around after the Doctor |

Oh me too. I never understood how the lizard and her 2 mates were always billed as 'fan favourites'

Didn't Saibra get rid of her mutant ability at the end? In fact, they're on shaky ground with her, as she was basically Rogue with Mystique's powers.

Also it might explain why he has a writing credit on the episode so he can use the characters again without asking the other writer's permission! |

I rather liked them, I actually think Series 8 has been very strong in it's one-shot supporting cast members so far.

Stuff submitted to the BBC belongs to the BBC, doesn't it? I thought that's why they can't take unsolicited material anymore...

why not if they own it? It makes more sense if they don't accept outside material because they wouldn't own new characters. Or am I missing something...its early here!
