I'm just interested to see which contestants you lot voted for last night - and how many times?

I voted for Anthony. He was in the middle of the pack last night but is my favorite. I don't know how many times I voted but voted for about an hour while I watched tv. Got a lot of busy signals the first half hour. Thought Nadia did the best last night but I am sure she got plently of votes.

We couldn't vote last night-- our phone's been out of order (which happens w/every snow storm lately.)

When we do vote, we never vote for more than one person and only vote once.

Who would you have voted for if your phones were working?

I voted for Jessica Sierra.

Probably Vonzell. Our family is torn between Bo, Vonzell and Nadia.

I voted for Bo..............probably about 40 times. I got busy signals about 2/3's of the time I was trying, even an hour and 1/2 after the show ended. I was also going to vote for Nadia and somebody else (hmmm..........) too, but didn't have time.

I wish that there was a more equitable way to handle the voting. I suspect that some contestants whose appeal would be more likely to be teens would outvote some of the other contestants, simply because their fans are more inclined to vote early and often.

I remember hearing that in one of the Eurovision contests (probably back in the 1960s), W. Germany had its citizens vote by turning on as many electrical items as possible for songs that they liked and shutting off electricity when they didn't like things. They used the readings at the electrical plants to determine the votes! I always that that was rather neat.

there is such a diversity of musical taste in America so the voting will be widespread and I gather from reading some of the fan sites that (if it is to be believed) that many fans multi vote.....big time. Are phone calls cheap in US? Any news on jasmine Trias or Jennifer Hudson and what is Fantasia doing.....after the shows we in the UK never hear anything of these winners.

There`s an update thread on here about AI finalists and you can also find the latest news on the official American Idol site. As far as I`m aware the voting is free in most States for AI. Hence how the teenies can vote multiple times without making their parents bankrupt.

ah well that explains why on some fansites the posters reckon to spend a loyal two hours non stop dialling.

Who do you feel are in danger....according to some spoilers, the bottom 3 were Vonzell (4.4%), Mikalah (4.2%) and Constantine (4.2%).

Will you stop fretting about these inaccurate figures!

Do you really think that the American voters really would have Mikalah & Constantine on the same voting percentage?!!!!!!!!

I didn't vote last night, because I liked too many of the performances to decide between them. There were only one or two that I would NOT have considered voting for.

How many times (estimate) did you vote all together? More importantly, how many times did you vote for Vonzell?

I vote every night 100 times. Most of these are for Anthony, though at least ten are for Jess.

It would be a much more fair and realistic competition if only one vote were allowed per person. But then again......I suppose the winner is the person with the most fanatical fans........and fanatical fans buy cds.................the fans of Michelle McManus being the exception to the rule!

I don't think I'd have the patience or dedication to vote 100 times, so I'm quite glad we have to think of the cost of our calls over here after all!
