Lauren didn't really warrant the abuse that she was getting from this age group I don't think.

Teenage girls hating on a pretty girl, no surprises there lol.

And also Twitter hates everyone, they never seem to have a kind word to say about anyone unless they're a “hot guy.”

I don't care what his reasons were for hating and trolling or what he was writing, it doesn't really matter, just ignore him and any other hater you come across either on twitter or any of the forums.
The fact is Lauren isn't among the best female singers who ever walked on the x factor stage and despite giving us a few disappointing performances, based on her best performances she is without a doubt in my mind a good singer with plenty of potential and I hope labels can see what us fans see in her.
Okay, people have different opinions, but instead of replying to a comment by a hater or even a non hater who said that she can't sing or that she is bad or mediocre, I just try to laugh at that comment and ignore it. Anyway, anyone who thinks that should probably get their ears checked and stop judging her based on those mistakes she made.

I am sure at least one of the labels out there, big or small already wants to pick her up. Like I said before, I will be surprised if she isn't signed by the end of March.
I usually just sigh, nod my head with a smile on my face and scroll down when I see negative comments regarding her singing ability, unless that person has a similar opinion as I do and isn't saying that she can't sing (poor trolling attempt to be honest...).


Interesting. I wonder what my mother's opinion would be about her. She doesn't have the time to watch these shows, but she is into singing in a way so I am sure she would enjoy The Voice or The X Factor. It would be fun if I was able to talk about x factor with her

Tbh from what I gathered most middle aged woman were saying this. Why middle aged woman can't like young confident women I don't know

It might've been because she had talent as well, I think people like to see some imperfections in someone, and Lauren seemed to have it all really.

I'm not saying that it's right of course, but she definitely was like a female version of Luke Friend last year in that respect, as he also seemed to have everything.

I don't think Lauren has it all AT THE MOMENT, but I believe she has potential to have it all some day, perhaps soon, she will just have to work hard. There is room for improvement in both vocals and stage presence, hence the potential and I know she can do it

Again like Luke Friend lol, when they was off they could be awkward onstage and have shakey vocals, but when they got it right they blew everybody else out of the water in their individual series, and as they get older they'll reach that standard more often.

And of the girls in this series Lauren was the closest to having it all I feel as she had talent, looks, and a different type of stage presence to the dancing Hyena I felt.

Plus she actually had a personality which is rare for a female contestant on this show lol.

Out of all the criticisms the lack of personality surprised me the most bar maybe no talent.

I mean ok she's not the most exciting contestant ever but she has a much better personality than a lot of past contestants including some ex popular winners

I completely agree with everything you said. The comments by many people on different forums (I usually saw them on DailyMail, no surprise there) were that she doesn't have personality at all, she was even compared to a brick lol. There weren't nearly as many "she can't sing" comments and even those were most likely posted by pure haters and trolls.
The "she is boring" or "I nearly fell asleep" comments about her performances were most common and I have no idea why. The only performance that could potentially be boring for me but it ended up being almost my favourite after I heard it for the first of many times was Smile.

Like you said, she is not the most exciting contestant ever and I am sure most of us on this forum would agree with that, but I love her just the way she is, I never thought that she doesn't have personality and I don't think she has to change at all.
