It's sad that someone who has a real singing gift - whose voice I can listen to for hours - seems to be going nowhere and wasting her talents. I just hope she's also got some new music or covers coming soon as well.
It's weird but I tend to support people on XF who end up being unsuccessful, and I'm sorry to be this negative but if she doesn't make serious focus on music soon she'll be forgotten by this time next year.”

She's done nothing bar the cover.
I have a Bad feeling her inexperience is showing with lack of work”

I would be getting laurens I contact them as well. I would be getting laurens to constantly update her CV of all the gigs she does and say how many people go to them. I'd get positive reviews to put on there. I would be getting LAUREN to record loads and loads of covers for YouTube. Doesn't have to be like her first one. I would be sending these covers in a video mail to the record company's constantly with the updated CVs over and over and over again.
I would be getting in touch with charities to see if they would like LAUREN to perform a charity song for them. Something to release and promote.
I would be getting LAUREN to write songs as much as a she can and every now and then work with other writers and singers (don't have to be famous) to give advice. Non famous onea would do it but you can get good non famous songwriters.
She would also perform these songs on YouTube and send to record labels.
Regularly ask her to do written and video recorded blogs.
I would ask mystery shoppers to watch her sing, give their advice to Lauren afterwards. She wouldn't know bout the mystery shoppers.
I would also contact record companies if they didn't reply within a Certain time period
Annoy them until they tell us under no circumstances will they sign her.
Obviously not all of the above can be dine as we wouldn't be made of money but get as much done as possible
At the moment I think she has been lazy and shown inexperience. Trust me you might think you are doing a lot and she probably does but there's always someone doing more. She needs to be doing something non stop. She can't wait for it to happen. It will only happen if she makes it happen. She has an advantage of having been on the X factor and gaining a fanbase.
It might also be worth getting in to foreign labels.”
A great plan you got there Rob, which is why I think her management sucks!!! Neither they or Lauren are doing anything...

I have to be brutally honest in this post.
I am still and will remain a loyal fan, but I agree with both of you 100%. She will have to step it up and actually start working hard if she actually wants to do something in the music industry and there is a place for her voice. The way things are now and if they continue to be this way, her talent will eventually go to waste.
Yesterday I didn't want to write this, but I thought she was kind of lazy for about a month now since a week after she released that amazing cover. She hasn't done anything at all worth mentioning since then...
Since the show, as far as we know, she has done a few interviews before the tour (were there any after?? ), that random unannounced "gig" at the mall around Christmas time that I am sure a lot more people would attend if they knew about it more than 2 hours before it happened, a gig at the GAY bar (everyone had done that one!), the tour and made 1 cover... and that is pretty much it. About covers, we don't need covers with music videos and editing...she should just record herself singing the songs like most people on youtube do (as many times as it is needed until it is flawless, I don't want to hear a flawed cover with mistakes that I usually quickly notice) and put that on youtube. Then sing those songs on gigs among a few favourite songs from x factor and put on a great show.
Do you think Charlie is holding her back a bit? Could she be afraid of not being able to spend so much time with him if she actually has to start working hard? She should focus on her career and not her love life, she can always get together with him or her friends after a day of hard work (either it is writing, recording in an actual studio, doing gigs...). Sorry, but at the moment it seems to me like she is doing nothing about her career, other things seem to be more important.
Things will have to change and soon rather than later or like Oilness said, she will be forgotten by this time of year.
