Sorry guys but I dont think lauren will be signed. I dont think the record labels have considered her for a while either in fact probably forgotten about her.

I reckon they did consider her at one point but she hasnt worked hard enough and she feels irrelevant already

They considered her at one point for sure. I am not expecting her to get signed in the next 2 or 3 months, but if she actually starts working hard, stops going on holidays and actually puts out some good covers and at least 1 GOOD original song, it might happen for her yet. That is if she actually still really wants to do this. I haven't lost hope yet that it might happen at some point before this year is over

Perhaps in the autumn when her friends are at uni and work and her X factor mates are releasing music and singing on the radio and all that bs, she will get jealous and something clicks,

I just don't want to be watching the voice 2017 and she appears. Although doubt she would go on it

I think they would remember who she is if someone mentioned her name to them, but they have no reason at all to think about her at the moment. She just doesn't seem to be serious about this and maybe labels feel the same way. If she was, then perhaps things could have been different now and she would be busy making an album.

Maybe this nice relaxing holiday in Spain has cleared her head a bit and she will get more serious now, that is if she still really wants to be a professional singer.

I still believe Lauren will get a recording contract. We need to be patient because It takes time and it's good that we are getting covers from her

We've got a cover. Can't say getting covers from her cause that's saying it's been regularly coming out

I also believe she will get the contract but only if she starts working hard and does something to get their attention.

The one thing that bothers me a bit is that it looks like she will release an edited cover, that would in my opinion also be fit for a radio, maybe once per month, instead of making and uploading acoustic covers at least once per week. Those could still be great covers and she would sound amazing. At least that is what I would have done if I was in her shoes. Sing while reading the lyrics from a laptop or PC, have Charlie play the guitar or something and make a great acoustic cover. And her lovely voice would sound even better I think.

I just hope, if she ends up doing acoustic covers, that she will upload them without any mistakes. She should record herself singing it multiple times until it is perfect if needed, unless she somehow gets it right on first attempt. Not everything has to be fit for a radio and end up on itunes. She could manage that I suppose.

I was wondering what happened to your twitter updates, hehe Nice to see that you are still requesting Lauren's song to be played in Spain.

Am I wrong to assume that the female platters probably requested a few days ago that Lauren should make that upcoming video about her Vintage cosmetic products? (free advertisement hehe )

I was hoping that she would record herself singing a cover to the lyrics on her laptop or something, or maybe upload a holiday or a house tour video. Or maybe a simple challenge, those can be fun. Maybe next time

Lauren is a blogger now not a singer

And not really a blogger. Just someone apparently paid to promote products, trading on the fame of XF last year in order to do that. This is a real shame, she is still my favourite singer. I just wish there was more music coming out.

Never mind, I suppose it's time to move on. In a few months the new XF will be on and we'll see if there is anyone with a similar voice who will be serious about producing music. Maybe a good test is to see what they did before XF. Lauren only went on Open Mic and Essex Factor - she didn't put any youtube videos up and tried to get noticed that way. Maybe that's an indication that the person isn't really serious.

I think I'll look at whether they've gone on XF as a last resort or if they only seem to want the instant fame of reality TV.

I wouldn't move on just yet, oliness. I assume we are all (or most of us) kinda disappointed at her, but it is not too late for her yet. I would give her a month or 2 and see if she will actually become serious about her music career before giving up on her and moving on. Uploading at least 2 or 3 covers per month (quick covers that many people seem to be doing on youtube without the music video, just her singing at her best) would be a nice start. 2 months from now I would love to have an impression that she is serious and is actually really trying, instead of apparently doing other things that are unrelated to her potential music career. I wonder how far away from being complete that next cover is that Eve mentioned a few weeks ago...

And we are getting a holiday video tomorrow, fingers crossed that the next cover will follow shortly after.
