I think she will walk away in March after the tour with both a recording contract and Charlie as her new boyfriend

I just wish we will see the news that she got signed soon, I can't wait for that day to come. And whoever she ends up with is in my opinion one lucky guy.

The only thing I don't like about the clothes she was wearing that day are those pants, other than that I absolutely agree with you

She mentioned that the tour songs will probably be the upbeat ones. Personally though I prefer the slower ones (I preferred the arena How Will I Know to the live one). I think they shouldn't make her try and emulate the dancier acts. IMO Lauren's forte is with the slower, more melancholic songs (There You'll Be, Beneath Your Beautiful). Her singing is in the middle between bouncy (say Fleur or Beyonce) and depressing (say Sam Smith).

She will sing 4 songs right? If I have to guess, then in this case she will most likely sing Happy and How will I know. We will probably find out soon what the other 2 songs will be, but I am sure at least one of those last 2 songs will show her hopefully at her best vocally.

I would go for:

1. A new song we haven't heard her sing yet (think it would be better to do something new and not just repeat the show)
2. How will I know (almost a signature song)
3. Beneath Your Beautiful
4. It must have been love (there's a small clip of it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-c...&v=jVHJln8d5rk but I don't think the full thing is online).

I would love to hear her sing something we haven't heard her sing yet, but that will probably happen after the tour.

Anyway, my personal song choices for the tour (I picked songs from live shows only and I also decided to exclude sing-off songs, so Beneath your beautiful and I know where I've been won't be on the list)
- Happy
- How will I know
- Don't you worry child
- What a feeling
(I like her Smile performance more than any of the four above, but I don't think it would be right for the tour)

I thought people were very cruel with her Smile performance

ok in terms of excitement its probably the lowest but the point of the performance was to show off her vocals which it did. It was probably her best vocals of the competition.

Maybe if she did slightly less slow songs before then it might have been more appreciated

If there was going to be a new song, how about "Leaving on a jet plane"? That's my all time favourite song, so moving.

I haven't heard that song before Oli, not bad at all.
While she could sing that well, I personally would have chosen something different, I just don't know what exactly because I am not really good at picking songs. There are many of them to pick from that I think she could sing well when she is at her best.

I can only laugh at this now, what is she doing... . I haven't heard of anyone getting sick so many times in 3 months and I seriously doubt she will stay healthy during the whole tour

There's obviously something wrong with her and it's more than not having any veg.

Lauren isn't looking after herself and her family need to have a talk about her diet, the way she dresses in this temperature and whether she washes herself and cleans her room regularly.

I'm looking forward to the anti lauren platters reaction to the you choose competition result 😂

She is clearly doing something else wrong that is affecting her health in a bad way, I just wish they will figure out what it is soon.

And I am very happy with the game winner! I didn't see this coming especially when the Lauren/Fleur voting battle started.

I haven't been on here for long so don't know what past years were like but wouldn't surprise me if this was the most tactical one

Illness happens. When I was 16/17 I had awful sinuses and colds nearly every day. What it might be sadly is something singing related - singing all the time could strain the throat and leave the tonsils vulnerable. Teenagers do often get ill as their bodies are changing .

Just hope that she is firing all cylinders on tour - especially the London gigs when Im going!

There was a virus in Essex and one time she was ill Lauren had to go Hospital this can't be good for her it might affect her getting a recording contract 😭

That's the thing I am most worried about the most to be honest, labels might think that she is unreliable by getting sick so often and being unable to perform.

Finally got a new ipod touch (my one ive had for 6 years broke late last year) so i finally bought laurens songs off itunes before they are taken off (last years contestants dont have their songs up anymore as far as i can see).

I dont mean this in an insulting way, in fact its the opposite but she sounds better in the recorded performances than her lives. not that i dont think shes good live just that shes better as a recording artist.

Her ill be there one is a personal favourite from the recorded performances. The clarity, stay another day performances also are a lot better through itunes. Although the latter live was very underrated for me.

Dark horse however both live and recorded is my least favourite. shes ok in this song but i just feel it doesnt sound like her usual voice. maybe im just imagining it.

i think she'll be a great recording artist and a good live performer. i think with experience the latter will become even better. shes good at both but better at being a recording artist.

I dont like the jibes her haters label on her saying that shes only good if she was at disney as i believe thats a cheap false shot. however If i had to make one criticism and what i think is more appropriate as a constructive criticism is that her voice on some particular songs still needs to mature a bit more. thats my one criticism. sometimes you can tell you are listening to a 17 year old girl.

However not all of her performances gave that impression for example Smile. she sounded like a woman in that one. Just think her voice is still growing and still maturing

I am curious to hear what your opinion is about this. Okay she had tonsilitis during that live show, but do the 4 "I'll be there" parts sound good on the recorded version of I'll be there?
I thought her x factor performance was good until the part when she had to sing those higher 4 "I'll be there" notes. If she nailed that song, which I know she can, it would have been in my top 3 Lauren's performances.
However Simon still thought the last 20 seconds were fantastic, so I guess everything really does sound better in the studio during the live shows. It also explains why the comments from the judges about some performances from almost every contestant (including Lauren, they were too easy on her sometimes) were overrated and sometimes quite stupid.

I personally prefer Dark horse over Let it go, Clarity and maybe I'll be there. Vocally I think it is okay and I think the higher note at the end is good, but she seems to be very uncomfortable with the choreography, I don't have the same feeling about her How will I know performance (although she made a small mistake near the end there with the word "whenever", I still love that performance).

Glad to hear that she sounds good as a recording artist, I just hope they won't autotune her voice too much when she starts releasing her own music. Overall I think she is a good live singer. Her voice will mature I guess, although I love her voice even the way it is now. She has a lot of potential in my opinion to get better and I am sure she will, both vocally and in stage presence.

Yup, I agree. There are many better singers than her out there, but there is something about her voice that I absolutely love, especially during her Smile performance.

No worries if she misses that one rehearsal as long as she stays healthy, attends the rest of them and gives people good performances on tour...no mistakes hopefully, she can't afford to make them this time.

New interview. Doesn't give masses away, but says that labels will be watching on the tour. There's also a shout-out to Ben and a dig at some nameless people who don't have the X-Factor!

It does mention changing the style and type of singer she is but doesn't really say what to. We'll have to wait for more details.
