Right, let's go; although I'm not sure I can stretch to 5 for each category:
(I'm assuming as pop as pop can be in general)

British Male (5 nominations)
- Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Calvin Harris, Professor Green, John Newman (?) or Duke Dumont (?) or Paolo Nutini (?)
British Female (5 nominations)
- Jessie J, Ellie Goulding or Rita Ora, Paloma Faith, Ella Henderson, Cheryl Cole (?) or Lily Allen
British Group (5 nominations)
- Clean Bandit, One Direction, Little Mix, The Vamps, Union J (?) (by default?)
British Breakthrough (5 nominations)
- Clean Bandit, Sam Smith, Sigma, two of Charli XCX, Jess Glynne, Ella Henderson
British Single (15 nominations)
- Clean Bandit 'Rather Be', Sigma 'Nobody to Love', One Direction's latest song at that point, Cheryl Cole 'Crazy Stupid Love', Sam Smith 'Stay With Me', Ella Henderson 'Ghost', Ed Sheeran 'Sing', George Ezra 'Budapest', Katy B 'Crying For No Reason', and a few more
British Album (5 nominations)
- Ed Sheeran 'X', Katy B 'Little Red', Sam Smith 'In The Lonely Hour', two winter-release albums, possibly Arctic Monkeys 'AM'
British Video (5 nominations)
- Jessie J 'Bang Bang', Ed Sheeran 'Sing', and 3 others
International Male (5 nominations)
- Aloe Blacc, Avicii, Eminem, Dabid Guetta, Jason Derulo
International Female (5 nominations)
- Kiesza, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Nicole Scherzinger, Sia (?) or Lana Del Rey (?)
International Group (5 nominations)
- 5 Seconds of Summer, Magic!, GRL/5th Harmony, a few others
International Breakthrough (5 nominations)
- Iggy Azalea, Nico + Vinz, Magic!, Tove Lo (?), and another
International Album (5 nominations)
- Maroon 5 'V', Iggy Azalea 'The New Classic', 5 Seconds of Summer's album, Pharrell 'GIRL', a winter-release album.
Critic's Choice (3 nominations)
- no idea as yet, TBA
Outstanding Contribution To Music (Just the winner)
- probably Kate Bush
Global Success Of 2014 (Just the winner)
- no idea, although it should be Pharrell for the sheer longevity of 'Happy'

I'll come back later with a full list but one thing is almost certain, One Direction will get another made up award just to secure their attendance.

Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Sam Smith will probably win big.

Agree with Hollie_Louse regarding Wand Erection.

Best Female? Possibly Rita Ora, as she has been hyped up so much this year..

I'd pretty much go with that with the addition of the new highly contested Best Boyband with a new album named 'Four' or similar category which will be won by One Direction lol.

I'd probably add 5SOS to International Breakthrough as well as International group too.

Would she accept though? They'll only give it to her if she agrees to turn up.

Indeed.

Kate was offered the award in the past, but she turned it down, as the winners usually attend and put in a performance.

After the live gigs, I feel like Kate Bush would turn up. If not Kate, then I'd love Arcitc Monkeys to win

I don't think a band who only released their first album eight years ago are worthy. At least not yet

They gave it to the Spice Girls after four years.

If Adele releases this year, then she'll definitely grab some nominations. When is the cut-off date?

Think the album cut of date is the end of December. That's if it comes this year, seems to be pointing to the early 2015 date.

Best Group - ROYAL BLOOD, Clean Bandit, Kasabian, Coldplay, One Direction* or Little Mix (I hope)

British Male - PAOLO NUTINI, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Jake Bugg, Calvin Harris or Professor Green

British Female - ADELE, Lily Allen, Jessie J, Charli XCX (if not in Breakthrough)

Breakthrough - CHARLI XCX, Ella Eyre, Royal Blood, FKA Twigs, George Ezra or mnek

Global Success, Album of the Year, Best single (tbc) - ADELE

International Female - TAYLOR SWIFT, Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Lana Del Rey

International Male - PHARRELL or whoever turns up

The Brits really need to put in a category for EDM acts - Calvin Harris fits with Duke Dumont, Sigma and Gorgon City, not Jake Bugg.

*One Direction are touring in Australia so won't be able to make it and therefore do not need a made up award. Sony will want them featured though. Too early to say whether they would get Best Single or Best video, both shortlists done by popularity (sales & views).

They haven't awarded it since Blur got it in 2012. I seem to recall reading that they were retiring the category for a few years and then would bring it back (I could be wrong, though).

Supposedly Depeche Mode were to get it last year but declined after being told it would be presented after the ITV live broadcast was over.

As much as I would love for them to get it, I think the BRITS hasn't liked them since there were apparently accusations that the 'Best British Single' category was rigged at the 1991 Awards when they won for 'Enjoy The Silence'. They didn't show up to collect it.

I definitely agree with this. It's sad but true As I've said before, they could release an album of themselves farting and still get an award for it
