I'd say Taylor Swift is probably nailed-on for International Female now unless Iggy or Nicki has a big hit between now and January. Ariana Grande is probably not quite there yet to compete with her and she's only really riding on 'Problem'; whereas Nicki has the ubiquitous 'Anaconda' and her feature and presenting work and Iggy has 'Fancy', 'Problem' and 'Black Widow' and has just re-released her album.

Rita Ora doesn't deserve to be nominated purely for releasing one song in the space of a year

I think the eligibility has to be that you release an album as well, which she hasn't

That's if Taylor is willing to show up, if she doesn't then it'll go to whoever showed up unfortunately

I see what you mean but this is The Brits, they don't have any rules and pretty much do what they want, which I'm sure they'll want Rita to show up to do a performance and get one nomination regardless of her state, so to ensure 1D get their yearly award

Surely Paloma will get best british female? Her album has sold near 600 000, she had a successful tour, and is touring again but arenas this year!?

I think she has a best single nomination too - with Only Love Can Hurt Like This. But she wont win that.

Album of the year, maybe?

My money for the Global Sucess award is Charli XCX because she has been successful over in the USA and done lots of work with her album plus lots of publicity and has thousands of fans (inculding me) or Sam Smith may win it because he had a excellent 2014 started his career by winning BBC Sound Of 2014 at the start of the year and ending 2014 with lots of albums and singles sold and he had most nominations in the Grammys than anybody else ever in the history of the Grammys.

I predict on the night there will be lots of posts on DS stating how rubbish the Brit awards are and how its not as good as it use to be.
