I'm sure this subject has come up before but reading on the BBC site that the record compaies are losing money due to priacy over the internet I was wondering...
Don't know about other parts of the country but in the south you are talking upwards of £15 per album and upto £18 for double album with singles nearing £4...
I know i'm a bit of an old f**t but I remember singles being £1.99 and albums £7.99 but I would certanly buy more singles if they were £1.99, usually you have to go abroad or to the internet to get a good mix of a record anyway... I'm sorry but to me its the usual way in the UK of ... Fewer people are buying so rather than bring the price down to attract more let's push the price up to capitalise on the people still buying... just wrong!
Not condoning piracy in anyway but I am sure more people would buy if singles were at a more reasonable price (for what you get!).. I don't want small video files on the singles just the single mix and a few other mixes will do thanks!
There, had my say
Mike
