ED: Declan's swan song?
Even if he does survive the whack on the head and drowning, certainly there is no way back for him is there? He tried to murder his wife over an abortion and didn't think anything of it and now it looks like he caused the death of his nephew by blowing him away with a flare gun. No way he'll survive that on his own but with water, I can see Robbie being a goner. What will happen to Declan next? I can't see Megan ever forgiving him for killing his son. He'll most likely end up institutionalized or in jail and even if Charity does lose everything, it doesn't make up for the fact that her actions pretty much decimated the Macey family. Because without Robbie and Declan, and now with Jai sleeping with Leyla, where will that leave Megan?

I don't want Emmerdale but it has been hyped up. I know who Charity is, did she kill her husband?

How people can say 'he tried to do this over just an abortion' is beyond me
There's nothing just about it He's got every flaming right to be peed off. Hate to say it and I don't agree but he had something with 'life for a life' it's, technically, correct |

Crazy. They're both manipulative bastards, that's what attracted them together. Neither of them are justified. Except maybe Charity at the end, protecting herself from being pulled into the lake. |

Declan has every right to be pissed off but not MURDER her over it because its just overreacting. He should have just had the marriage annulled and threw her out on her skinny ass.
That being said, I think Robbie is dead and Declan will survive somehow. Even if Declan doesn't die, he's still gonna go to prison for everything else and Megan will NEVER forgive her half-brother for blowing her son in half. |

Exactly! I think Megan will move away. I hope so. Who or what is in Emmerdale for her? If Megan becomes Lady Of The Manor I think I'll stop watching.

I think Declan is alive. Have a strange feeling, when she hit him it was asif he seemed to go under water himself. Plus if charity can survive a meat cleaver to the head anything is possible. I just don't see how this would be charity's commupance.

It's her body! He did not have the right or have a reason to try and kill her whether or not she had an abortion. I'm pro choice when it comes to a woman's right to an abortion.

It certainly looks like she killed him after he hunted her down in the woods and on a lake and tried to kill her because she had a secret abortion! I think he is dead. She hit him with an object from a boat and he drowned or so it seems.

There is no way back for Drecklan after this and really he has had his time at Home Farm now and I have been fed up of him and his "problems" for a long time. I actually found Robbie's diving into the river yesterday comical like some strange kind of circus act. Megans face pulling was also hilarious. She is another one that is well past her sell by and just gets on my nerves. If Declan is dead, I bet Charity will get everything and he probably wont have thought of changing his will, dynamic businessman that he is.

I thought it was all well and good but at the cost of Robbie and Declan and that makes me want Charity to leave and never come back.
I think the last words of hers killed what would have been seen as a good episode. But no, for me they kinda went too far. Charity does not deserve home farm one bit and she does not deserve any of his money. |

She did kill his baby though...pro choice or not she made him believe she wanted it, got him to marry her so they could raise it and then pretended to lose it when she had aborted it, got him to split from his sister and family by blaming Megan. She murdered his dream, his love for her.
That said neither can trying to poison somebody and then hunting them down in the woods - no matter what the provocation. But Declan had clearly gone insane and Charity's actions were a big part of that. |

I do have to say I wondered why they did all this now rather than in 3 weeks time on the anniversary leading me to think the actual climax will be then.

Surely Home Farm will go to Charity? She's still married to him, and I'm pretty sure they didn't write a "unless I try to kill my wife" clause into the prenup

Anything can happen.. after all Charity survived the sledgehammer blow miraculously with very little effect.

Declan would have been physically knackered before the massive blow to his head, yet we're expected to believe he found the strength to swim UNDER WATER to the other side of the lake, clamber to safety and walk away without being seen.
