" I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised that I’m not actually rubbish. "

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...-part-one.html

Judging by the comments, he doesn't seem to be popular with DT readers either.

Thanks for the link. I love the image he painted of Aliona. She's clearly set out her stall with him

Well at least he's started wearing underwear for training!

I put this link up on another thread yesterday. Apparently he's bookies favourite to be the first exit.

So hopefully his strictly diary won't last too long! And lol at him saying he thought strictly was for people who needed to boost their profile - as if he's not doing it to boost his profile after all the bad publicity he's got!

I think the article is ok actually and paints quite an amusing picture of his relationship with Aliona, without being disrespectful - in fact far from it. Despite some expressed modesty he might still be overestimating his dancing skills, but that is a very common trait. There are only 12 comments and, to be honest, the language and tone of some of them says more about the reviewers than about Gregg

I think you missed the part where he went on to say that he was wrong to think that way.

No I didn't miss that part and of course he'd say that now he's part of the show and doing it for the same reasons that everyone else is doing it now or has done it in the past - to boost their profiles.

Crikey, I thought we gave him a hard time on here, but the Telegraph readers are brutal!

Telegraph readers are arses, to generalise badly. In truth I know some very gentlemanly and courteous Telegraph readers, but the Comments section is invariably full of great flappy arseholes

In a very strange, not altogether healthy way, I'm looking forward to watching Gregg and Aliona more than any of the other couples .

This was in Yahoo, mostly the same as the Telegraph but also a couple of quotes from the Sun - reputedly from him talking to the Sun. Don't think that kind of headline will do him any favours.

Yes if he's not been misquoted it shows him up in a very bad light. I've put a similar link on another thread.

Day 1 : enjoyed my first day of training. Kept my hands to myself but I think my lack of underwear speaks for itself
Day 2: Aliona seems unimpressed by lack of underwear, she is clearly a prude
Day 3: Had to replace underwear, the BBC is not what is was in the days of The Hairy Cornflake

I understand that some people prefer to "go commando" but surely if you are learning to dance which involves close lower body contact, for the love of god! You go to M&S and buy a multipack of close fitting briefs to keep everyting under control

Poor guy still has a cold from last Saturday, but sounds like he and Aliona are warming to each other.

Well yes, Latin is fine. He can wear whatever he likes, but I would suggest he gets down to M&S before starting any ballroom tango practice.

Which reminds me of a "ballroom" joke I heard a while ago but probably best not to repeat it here.......

Aliona's reaction to his not wearing underwear is set to join the classic training clips, like when Katya said "I'm feeling sexy" (Gavin: "Good for you")
Where can I get mine?

What a Brave man to pen a strictly blog at the Telegrapgh especially since he is not exactly the most popular contestant out there lol.

I want him to stay in the competition as long as possible ;; He reminds me a bit of Craig
