HI THERE,
THANKS FOR VISTING THE FORUM. I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A BUSH DVD PLAYER 2008, I AM TRYING TO MAKE SOME BACKUPS OF MY DVDS AND I CANT BECAUSE OF MACROVISON. CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO DO DISABLE MACROVISION.

Well we aren't allowed to discuss methods of hacking macrovision on these forums, but here is a link that at least gives you multi region capability > click here

The only reason you are 'allowed' to remove Macrovision protection is when it causes problems viewing DVDs on TV.

I didn't know that! I'm sure I've seen other threads about this topic but perhaps it was on a different forum!

Anyway, for arguments sake: If I bought one of these players and used it with a brand new, very expensive projector, and found I got all sorts of strange patterns on the screen, could I find a way to turn off the macrovision and if so where?

Maplin, I believe, sell a Macrovision remover that fits inbetween your DVD and TV.
